Remember when folks thought the NICS checks weren't a registry? Good times.

Although living in a 2A sanctuary/constitutional carry state, I see good cause to keep an updated CC license.

any one who thought the government ( BATF ) was not saving and logging all the gun sales info (as the old saying goes I have some swamp land for you ) last I heard they had close to a bilion records easy to search but they denied it but all the computer people said just a couple strokes and it would all be show

why they went to all the personal info on the fist page also a video going around a field agent was using her cell phone to take a photo of every form in a gun shop the owner filmed and put it on the Intrnet

again any on think they're going to destroy the files after getting caught ys sure they will ( refer back to the swamp Land )

a new law coming in to effect if not already now all FFL have to keep there records untill they give up or die then all records have to go to the big boys for may years it was hold 20 years and they you could destroy them a lot of the youtube pod cast and gun channels begged all the FFL's to destroy all files they had over twenty years old while legal to do so before the new save it all date rolls around I am sure a few will but most will be scared to do so

its amazing the only right we have to fight for every day to keep and they still chip away and make it almost impossible for many to even enjoy the right so many died for

sadly all this can not end well

And 18-20 year olds will automatically get a 10 day delay. They better plan ahead for Hunting an Holiday seasons.

Those are kinda tough when you're buying a brand new firearm. Great for used, though.

When you call in a background check they only get a SMALL bit of information that is filled out on the sheet....the address isn't something that the dealers gives over to the ATF when you are doing a check. They are just supposed to verify if you are prevented from owning a gun, not anything further.

At lease they are not the Delta Force ordered to attack by Clinton. I met Clinton when he was 14. And again age 15. He was visiting his cousin in north central Texas.

Here in Kentucky Just get a Concealed Carry Permit, no need to do a NISC check. Still have to do the 4473 !

Pretty heavy handed, I am betting it will be challenged in court. Local leos will likely get pretty tired of making checks.

Jim Deere gov gets info "that's what govs do" they also make money with insider info, at times. They also use a special tool to streiten bent parking meter posts. And jails for bent people. it's terrifying. And been known to make offers you can't refuse.

I've got my guns thinned out to where almost none of them are registered to me I . Even my 500 Mag and is not in my name as same as my AR-15. I have a S&W 66 that's in my name and a couple of Ruger .45 Colt Vaqueros. All of my rifles and shotguns were made before the stinkin' politicians go their noses stuck into something they don't have a clue about. I bought all my Desert Eagles from a bargain mart magazine in Alabama from individuals. I inherited a safe full of older long guns and some .22 long guns that some don't even have a serial number on them they were made before it was required. About the only good thing about being old and alone is not worrying to much about them coming and trying to take them. I'm bettin' I take out more of them before they get me until they finally burn me out which they'll be doing me a favor. We were within a nates * of winning Gettysburg and if we had we wouldn't be going though this $h!+ today. So damn close it still makes me sick to this day.

Got my first ever delay last April. Still scratching my head over it.

  • badchrisbadchris Member Posts: 1,670 ✭✭✭

It's unusual for me not to get delayed. Never been denied, but rarely get a proceed.

Enemies of armed self-defense focus on the gun. They ignore the person protected with that gun.
  • JunkballerJunkballer Member Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭✭

Use that time delay to your advantage, walk outside & check yourself to see if it's a "impulse" purchase, you may save some dollars doing so.

Insider trading by gov employees should be addressed. i know of getting rich after quitting IRS.

Every time I buy a gun, my BGC goes into research mode. I always get approved but have frequently been delayed.

  • mohawk600mohawk600 Member Posts: 5,526 ✭✭✭✭

You guys are way too concerned with the ATF................the IRS is about to add 87,000 new agents.................surpassing all of the other federally armed agencies COMBINED..............................THAT is a reason for concern.

The IRS recently purchased $700,000 worth of ammo........................why? Because they knew that the recent version of Joe's bill was going to include hiring 87,000 new agents. That is alot of ammo for a bunch of bureaucrats gentlemen.
