I have been trying to make a solar oven for thawing frozen food and heating coffee.

I've been looking at guns on the internet.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I went out and fed the horse and let the chickens out of their coop...
I did not prepare for show and tell today. Don
I just cleaned the fly-poop off my shop windows…
I have been trying to decrypt some of a certain persons posts on here! LMAO
sand crabs
I just had a rum and coke
I ran with scissors.
Tried one a bazillion years ago on a Boy Scout camping trip. It sorta kinda worked but took forever. Kind of like this guys BBQ;

Prepare? Heck, it appears you could have just been doing any old thang.

Yep, when your a post is just a statement with no explanation or question to me it doesn't take much to respond, but I did really enjoy @dcon12 response... sometimes I'm easily amused I guess.
I licked a possum today.
Did he lick you back?

As you see bitlocker, you are dealing with a pretty rough crowd here. Rather than just make a statement, say what your plan is, what you have done so far, and ask for advice from someone with similar projects. Not knowing what you have done, first you will need some kind of a semi-parabolic mirror. I say semi because otherwise it would be out of your budget. 60 years ago I worked in research for Union Carbide and we had a project to create an arc light that was small enough to use in an aircraft. The idea was to illuminate battlegrounds in Viet-Nam. We used thin aluminum sheet to create the reflector. It had a mirror surface on one side but I don't know how that surface was created by the mfgr. I was too young and it's been too long ago. That will get you started but since the earth moves in relation to the sun. It will be at max efficiency for a short time. Now you could motorize the reflector to follow the sun. I retired again 10 years ago where I created automated devices. You should be able to do this for maybe $10K if you have pals that can do software & firmware for you. Now that will work for an extended time but since the son doesn't rise & fall in the same path as weeks/months go buy you can add a second axis of reflector movement. This could probably be done for another $10K or so. Naturally you will need a 110V power source. On the other hand you could just buy a $150.00 microwave and save all that money. 😀
no thanks
Cleaned carpet in three rooms. Unpacked a barrel from Flea Bay and replaced broken extractor. Tomorrow will start prepping barrel. Time for bed. Nite, nite --------------Ray

Why not use the same power you used to freeze the meat and perk the coffee for thawing and reheating.....don't make life so complicated, you'll be happier 😊
