A guy tried to breech a FBI office armed with an AR and a nail gun.
Armed man who tried to breach FBI Ohio office killed after six-hour standoff with police | Fox News
When nail guns are outlawed only outlaws will have nail guns!
This was obviously someone who was triggered by the raid on Mar A Lago. Tell me the dems didn't see this coming when they planned and executed the raid. Bring out all the nuts and condemn gun owners by painting them with the same brush. Personally, my AR was lost in a boating accident and my nail guns require a compressor, so they are only good for home defense. Bob

Yes sir.
I see a 10 penny nail shortage coming soon, we better get a jump on it.............😀

We laugh, but one of those hoseless nail guns with the safeties disabled could be quite dangerous.

...I dont want a nail from a nail gun shot at me, period...if the nail hits you point first at up to 20', it could easily bury up an inch or so, hits you in the eye and your blind,. and some people have a brain behind their eye and it could possibly penetrate thru the eye...wish I had a dime for every staple, finish nail and 16p nail Ive shot thru a nail gun...lots of clips...
Yeah, I wouldn't want to be hit by a nail either, but it sure wouldn't be the weapon or even the back-up weapon of choice for a sane person against a building full of armed FBI agents. Think of a nail as a single flechette. Canister rounds of flechettes are pretty deadly but shotgun flechette ammo wasn't a big success. If a few of the flechettes did hit the target they might do some damage but they are so light they usually left the other guy plenty of time to shoot you with his real bullets. Accuracy was horrible and most of the flechettes tumbled and didn't hit point first. I wonder just how accurate a clipped head framing nail would be at 20 feet? Seems like it would tumble almost immediately due to its lack of aerodynamics. So, I agree that I don't want to be on the receiving end but there are a whole lot of better choices to use against an armed adversary. Bob
You know that the guy who came up with the paper clip became a multimillionaire.
I think I'll invent some sights that fit nail guns! Never too old to become rich! 😁
I have that exact nail gun. Went thru Illinois a few yrs back... well of course they would not approve my conceal carry being out of state .... so I put that nail gun on the passenger seat... and then took it inside the motel I stayed at.
I had a chainsaw bite a few years ago and had a few stitches.
While in the ER I asked the nurse if sh had seen some pretty bad construction accidents, of course she had.
Fellow comes in with chest pains, EKG's and chest Xrays. Xray showed a 16d gun nail almost touching his heart. She said they carefully loaded him up in an ambulance and sent him to a better prepared hospital.
Turns out the fellow was working beneath a crew who were shooting down framing above him.
Nail hit him in the soft place between shoulder blade and neck. Never felt anything. Sharp slim nail might not give off much shock unless it hits bone.
Former employee was shooting down plywood on the floor joist. We had several pieces tacked down and he was holding the trigger and bumping the floor as he walked.
See him with claw hammer out pulling something out of his boot, yep nailed himself to floor.
Trip to ER and good for him the nail missed the many bones in his foot.
Somewhere I still have one we used to use to shoot fasteners into concrete. Used a crimped 22 for power!
I'll be selling some ghost nail guns soon, before the legislation passes.
I'll post a link.
Use gas powered ones daily, ammo(gas) is getting hard to find
I expect better accuracy than 'minute of 2x4 at contact range'.
Use galvanized ring shank for heavy game
Electro-plated or hot dipped? If hot dipped then the ring shank is a bit of overkill, don'tcha think?
Might 'blow a lung out'.
