Being old is like dry cereal in the morning.
Snap, crackle, pop.

Had I known I was going to live this long, I would’ve taken better care of myself!
Someone post on here awhile back? "How is it I'm able to remember the lyrics from the 60"s & 70's songs but when I walk into the kitchen I forget why I came in there🤔
Welcome to the club Geri.
short term memory goes fast .
one example if some one tells me there phone number .If I do not write it down right then sadly 3 minutes later I could not repeat it to save my life 😲
when I was younger I had a great uncle who would talk about people and events from 60-70 years ago like it was yesterday. but recent events not so much but at the time I did not think about it
now I understand a lot better 😥
They say your memory is the 2nd thing to go and I'll be damned if I can remember what the 1st one was. 🙄
The kitchen and the bathroom I can usually figure out why I'm there pretty easy it's those other rooms that give me a problem.
Your not old until, it takes you an hour to get dressed up and then another hour to remember what you got dressed for.
Memory is great. It's the recall that has the problem.
Have a great week.
My internal file cabinet just takes a little more time to find what I'm looking for.
I've always had problems remembering peoples names. Get an introduction and a minute later "poof" 😒 In one ear and out the other just like that! Been that way most of my life.
I have the same issue not that I don't care it's just my short term memory has never been that great
I read years ago that's the big reason older (like a few of us lol )
When we meet some one we will say hay bud , pal, buddy, or many other generic terms trying to avoid calling some one by name.
I will guess also more than I have just had to say it
I am sorry I recognize your face but your name I just can not remember right now
That's when my wife would step in and say that's Bob from work or cousin Beth and so on
I use today tease she would say David that's your mom for crying out loud lol
