Survived another stay-cation and got $20 left in the wallet

Rejoice for the yellow flava is still alive. What did I do you (should've) asked? I smoked a 11 pound pork butt cleared out some real estate in the freezer with that one. I did it right since I don't know when I'll see pork butt for $1 a pound again. 8 hours of fire watch. I watched this new tv show on AMC+ on DVD called "Firebite" an Australian vampire show. The aboriginal girl from "Wyrmwood: Apocalypse" was playing the lead. I liked the way they used the opal mines to house the vampire colonies. Pretty clever. Also a good watch. Kind a wish they make a Native American skin walker version of the show. Back to the smoked pro butt tacos. I think I could have ate the whole 11 pounds but I gave away half. The half I had lasted 4 days. By the fourth day I was glad the end was near.

"Jurassic World: Dominion" sucked. I even bought the Blu Ray since it had added minuets but that didn't help. Also why don't they kill off Jeff Goldblum? I personally think he ruins movies like Scarlet Johansson does.

I also found "Sniper: Rogue Mission". Didn't even know they made another one. Since they didn't have Master Guns (Tom Berenger) why they keep calling it "Sniper"? It wasn't like the last one "Sniper: Assassin's End" (another one direct to DVD) which was more "serious".

Surprise DVD was "Baby Asassins" a Japanese import (lawd bless Walmart for their DVD selection). I spent like half the movie trying to figure out the blonde dye job was a girl or a boy. If you are a fan of shootfighting you might enjoy this one.

The Leupold Freedom RDS I picked up seems good but my eyes are really jacked up. The red dot is like a star burst and not a dot to my eye. Astigmatism? Good thing it's on a shotgun.

Maybe the red dot is just turned up too bright?

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

I sure understand your several day ordeal eating the same pork butt . I did a very meaty rack of pork ribs in my smoker a few days ago and after day 3, I need some chicken!

My tastes in movies tend to be more on the conservative side. I just finished a series of DVD's I ordered from Walmart over the weekend. PBS Masterpiece "Poldark" which is about an English Captain and his life after getting home from fighting in the American Revolutionary War. Centered in the copper mining community of Cornwall where young Capt. Poldark owns an ancestral mine that comes with lots of turmoil and adventure. Turned out to be kind of a soap opera with a bit of chick flick tendencies, but was OK I guess.

I seem to recall that you did another "staycation" quite a while ago Yosh. You must find contentment where you live. That is a good thing! 🙂

At level 3 it starts to stop becoming a dot. My old Tasco red dot from the '90s on my paintball gun is more round dot at higher light level than the leupold.

Brookwood - Your selections of DVDs are too high brow like that "Down Town Abby". Don't get me wrong I like BBC but some subjects no. Did you get a chance to view "The Bronze"?

Yeah I have to keep knocking at the hours I got accrued and I stay home because I'm cheap. I fear long trips after my gall bladder got took out. Let's just say these days all the stars and planets has to align or I have to plan my day around a toilet. If I want to see more of the country I have to take along a bucket in my van.

Next year I believe I have to take eight weeks off. I wonder if I can take the last two weeks of the month and the first two week of the following month in one shot? So I basically take a month off.

Just checked out "The Bronze" on the IMDB. Nope! Not a fan of little "squeeky" from Big Bang Theory.
