Who? Probably the best guitarist you've never heard of, that's who. Lead guitarist for Billy Squire (who, IMO is the most underrated rock band of my lifetime). Who else likes Billy Squire?

Like their music... Today..in Rock History..2003 - Rolling Stone magazine named Jimi Hendrix the greatest guitarist in rock history. Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Chuck Berry, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Ry Cooder were also in the top 10 list.
Hard to argue about Hendrix.

I will have to do some catch up on my music listening and get back to you Mr.P.
For whatever reason, I can identify an old song after only hearing a very few notes played but the names of the musician artists fall flat with me much of the time these days.
I mean, he's in the clip I posted.

I too like Billy Squire. Sharaf is a great rock guitarist,
However, its all relative as to who is the best. Seldom do we hear of Glen Campbell, Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed, and Roy Clark because they are of a different genre. Chet made albums with both Glen Campbell, Jerry Reed, and Mark Knofler, the pickin is awesome. Glen Campbell can play every note of the William Tell Overture holding a guitar over his head. Glen and Chet also played with Clapton.
Glen, Chet, Jerry, and Roy are pretty well known though. Sharaf isn't what you would call a household name.

... Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn...top 3 to me, all share the number one spot...
Again. These guys are VERY well known. Are you deliberately missing the point here?

An age old argument. If including other genres, check out these flat pickers:
I don't see how anyone's fingers can move that fast.
Yep those guys are really good for sure.

Billy Squire was huge when I was in Grad School.....and then he just went away.....
Basically he just stopped producing music. I guess there was a feud with a record label thrown in there too. All I know is it's super tough to maintain that lifestyle and continue to produce.

The Video with him prancing around did not help him keep most of his intended audience. I did like his music.
