Is the beretta 92 a true classic, should every gun lover own one
Comments
classic, maybe, personally prefer the 1911........... just fits the hand better
One of the true classics. I wish they would make it in 45acp.
...Beretta 92 was First produced mid 70's, very popular 9mm...Colt produced the 1911 45acp around 60 years earlier...I like the Colt 1911, no debate about the Colt 1911 being a classic...I own a number of Colt 1911's and they have all increased in value considerably thru the years...
I'm gonna wait for Gaston to come out with the 'Perfected' version, then I'll consider one.
I have two of the Taurus copies of the 92. One has been shot about 10K times with OMG hot loads. It finally cracked one of the lock lugs. It was fixed for free by Taurus.
I love the Beretta 92FS. Fits my hand like a glove.
I still think they are superior to the Sig for combat. Reliability is superior and with the open receiver and training an FTF or jam can be cleared in a second. Cleaning is much easier and so is MX. I own & shoot both.
Nope. Full size HK USP in 9mm is.
Sold one last year for $3,100 I paid $570 for in 1989!
$570 and 1989. That sounds very familiar.
Should have bought a dozen.
Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis? $3K for a 92 or a USP? If you're talking about the USP I had no idea they appreciated that much. I couldn't sell mine with the "magazines" being that I'm in California. Being a Version 3 (no cocked and locked feature) I wonder if that'll command more money? The standard 15 and the "expert" magazines I would have to sell out of state. I'd also have to find the bit since mine has the Jet Funnel installed. I wonder if its with the Quick Comp and the Scope Rail? Just took a quick look and it seems someone sold the Quick-Comp for $200. Maybe my pile's worth $5K?
