How about the metal items... washers, stoves, freezers.. a/c units... do you recycle or give them away? I have a man who comes to the house and gets everything... My luck is running a screw or nail thru a tire if I take them to the metal place for recycle

We have an appliance dealer that parts them out. Also can drop them off at Hospice House as donation.
If it is still serviceable I will give it away. If it is DOA I shoot the ever living daylights out of it until it looks like a colander then scrap it.
All of mine now ready for pickup... riddled well
A friend of mine take all scrap metal. Also animal hides.
Have a local guy where I drop off and he salvages what parts he can save and scraps the rest
If I had someone willing to take crap like that, I'd help him load it. I don't ever have enough scrap to make the trip to the recycler worth the $6 I'll get.
Last time I had a cleaning day, I took it (metal and all) to my former workplace & pitched it in the dumpster.
I have an old washer... a/c condensing unit, grill , stove, freezer, 4 aluminum wheels and an air handler for a split system... all of the stuff shot up. all this stuff off of rental properties... 😃
We call old appliances 'ditch fillers'.
It is amazing how many appliances a .300 Win Mag will shoot thru.
50 BMG goes a bit farther
I have a phone number for a man who will pick up any metal scrap I need gone. Like SF, I ain't driving into the salvage yard and ruin a $200+ tire! I even gave the man $10 for gas money.
