Rayon was made in the '30s and was a hazard for the workers handling the chemicals.

Was also 80 plus years ago, do you have a point?
Binney & Smith (today known as Crayola) started selling their crayons in 1903. Coincidence? I think not.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Soon we will start the ambulance chasing lawyers on TV with--If you were injured by Rayon in the 1930s.
Camp leguieum , Rayon, and don't forget all the medicare commercials till Dec 7
Now China makes it and wearing it can cause a variety of problems. Like the Meta world. Reminds me of running up hill on a tread mill ,then falling forward while jogging on the sidewalk. Aloha
I intentionally did not spell it correctly... Camp Legume aka camp bean ...another spelling. 🤣
"Soft and lightweight, viscose fabric is a fixture of many wardrobes and homes and has been in use since the late 1800s. Viscose comes from trees, but it is not as environmentally sound as other types of rayon, such as modal, because the production process uses high concentrations of chemicals. Viscose is cheap to produce and is a versatile fabric used for clothing items such as blouses, dresses, and jackets, and around the home in carpets and upholstery."

Jimdeere that article was educational. About as much difference as types of ropes...
No one going to mention the connection of the proliferation of crayons and water quality at USMC facilities?
Climate Change.
So I googled, Contaminants at Ft. McClellan,Al. Oh my, makes camp Lejeune seem like a cotton candy factory.
DuPont made lots of Rayon. As the one-time owner of General Motors they put the stuff in VIRTUALLY Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, Buick, Caddy rolling off the the line. Early Corvettes were big users of Rayon. These were real Corvettes too. Engine in FRONT. Shifter coming out the floor. Not little 'paddles' for shifting like sissy Formula 0ne drivers😉
My granddad's name was Rayon. He was a real person and not synthetic either! 😁
Without Rayon there are no Hawaiian Shirts.
Thank you fatcat458 for relating my Corvette and Camaro with paddle shifters to Formula 1
I wonder if a person could sell souvenir bottles of Camp Lejeune water. Might appeal to the bizarre types.
How about the "Military Water Collection"? Get the whole set - water from every contaminated military base.
I totally enjoy shifting when I want with them... Up shifting and downshifting... With the C8's exhaust wide open.. track.. in My Mode the exhaust is fantastic sounding.
Let's get serious on this!
At least they didn't get covid.
Rayon plant near here that was a major employer for many families over the years.
Been shut down for a very long time. Factory, huge, in shambles and I would wager the toxic chemicals in the building and surrounding areas are off the scale. Most likely will never be demolished due to major cost.
Back in the 40's - 50's we had many fabric companies here in Winsted CT. The one that stood out to us kids was Mason Silk.
You could tell what color they were dying that day by the river
