Thanksgiving must be getting close! These birds had traffic waiting for several minutes but everyone enjoyed the wait. Rural living at its best!!

I would not want them up on my vehicle.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Years ago a tenant calls me mad as all get out... Neighbors Turkeys were on his new Black Mustang GT. Told him to go see them and bring them over to show the damage they done. Scratches everywhere on the hood and hardtop.

That's where my stupid turkeys went! 20 or so years ago I had the problem of turkeys wanting to roost on my garage. They would roost at the peak and then slide down and take off from the eaves and land in the yard. Not exactly good for the roof or the eaves. When I would pull into the driveway they would only begrudgingly get out of my way. I started keeping a couple of Black Cat firecrackers in the car and one day I rolled down my window and threw one near the flock. After it went bang, a couple of those stupid birds came over and pecked at the smoke in the grass where the firecracker exploded.

Back then, I was a Michigan hunter safety instructor and at the next class mentioned what happened to my local conservation (game warden) officer Henry. Henry just laughed and told me that wild turkeys had bred with domesticated turkeys and the results were the stupidest birds anyone had ever seen. He told me not to worry because the fox and coyotes would weed out all the really stupid ones shortly. So I wonder if that is what is going on by you, hybrid dumber than normal birds. Bob

We are down to just one turkey a female

The last male got too close to our husky and it did not play nice

wyats Funny we have one goose left a male

After he lost his mate he took on the turkey as his pal and watches over her

We still have a bunch of chickens running around .

But it's funny how the turkey and goose are now a couple

i May have too add to the alphabet groups Letters as soon as I figure out what the combination of turkey and goose would considered lol

I don't remember Brewster the Rooster, but I also didn't have young kids (or my childhood) during 2017 either.
