Drove by a KFC and the window sign caught my eye. They have a Cajun Deep Fried Turkey. Anyone try it?

Nope. Stopped going to Kan't Fry Chicken years ago.
Turkey is awful.

Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Comparing KFC from back in the 70's to today. The chicken just isn't the same.
That is going back before the franchise went to just the KFC initials and was called Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Pass
And when the Colonel was a distinguished Southern gentleman and not a cartoon dillhole.
Went by a KFC today looking for this. It wasn't on the menu board, but that was OK. I had already stopped at Arby's for a Country Style Rib samich.
last kfc i got a few years ago i tosted out it was crap i like the local grocery chains fried better dont know where they get their turkey might not be any for the thanks givien feast
I too highly prefer a couple of local grocery store deli made fried chicken over the stuff KFC is selling. I get an 8 piece box out the door for just under 10 bucks. The "Colon...el" 😁 charges nearly 25 bucks around here for the same and it is like eating a grease sponge!
I have never been much of a fan of turkey. Much rather have a good ham. As far as KFC I really like their Nashville Hot chicken tenders. Other than the Nashville Hot, Popeyes Chicken is much better....jimho
I think the fried turkey is an "order ahead" item for T'giving. It's not on the regular menu. Saw a TV ad for it but paid very little attention, so I might be wrong.
There's an outbreak of avian flu that's killing (literally) the turkey supply all across the country. Buy one when you see it because if you wait, you might be SOL. One of our Utah turkey farms just lost 70,000 birds either died or had to be killed to stop the infection from spreading even further.
I just recently pulled a 14 pound turkey out of the freezer that I had purchased last year about this time. Thawed it, split it down the middle, and brined it for a couple days before putting it in the smoker. I just happened to notice what I had paid for that bird. 4 dollars and some change!! 😲
Pretty sure I may never ever see a deal like that again!
I loved KFC back when the Col. was still with us, he was a real stickler for quality and consistency, now days however, their chicken is crap. And yeah, the Col. is probably turning over in his grave with his image degraded to that of a buffoon.
My very first "job" outside working for my father at the gun store was KFC. I hate hate hated mixing the coleslaw, but now I crave it sometimes....which is so very weird. My manager was from Pakistan, his name was Baha U Quarishi and nobody could understand a word he said. So.....I took full advantage of this and would "translate" things so I didn't have to do anything I didn't want to. "Baha said for YOU to clean the bathrooms...and for YOU to pick up the parking lot....and for YOU to mop the kitchen."
KFC Heart attack in a box.
KFC chicken is like pressure-treated wood, except that the penetrant is grease.
Nasty
For the prices they charge I can eat a fresh seafood meal or any buffet style restaurant around here, they (KFC) lost me years ago and unless something major happens I don't plan on going back.

I got time out for mentioning the democRAT scare tactics to get votes.
I love KFC chicken and have not found restaurant or home cooked I like better.
Pizza ranch is closest.
My 2nd son worked at a KFC back when he was in high school in the early 90's. Back then I liked the original recipe and would buy a bucket with the mashed potato's, gravy, and cole slaw about once a month for a Sunday family dinner.
Son learned a few secrets about the place and warned me about how they made the gravy. Said they dip hot grease out of the chicken frier for the "chicken base" and add spices and thickeners. 😲
I started ordering the mac & cheese after that!!
You must live up north.
Great fried chicken is as plentiful down here in the south as air. I would be hesitant to order fried chicken from a pizza joint, just can't see the connection.
South Dakota, everything is better here.
Lived in the South. Never found any good fried chicken except KFC :)
