Dang, I remember that... we are old! LOL!
Well, he is dead.
I don't. Sorry.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
This Doesn't Help @Mr. Perfect
But do you remember it?? @Ricci.Wright
I was pretty sure it wouldn't, thus the apology.

Yup @Ruger4me
He lay face down in the desert sand
Clutching a six-gun in his hand...
Lorne could do it all in those days.
Yes sir, @allen griggs
One of the original rap songs.
I just saw Johnny Ringo die last night on an episode of Tombstone Territory. He was unarmed and shot by a crooked judge. Then, he died again when Doc Holliday nailed him in the head in a close range duel in the movie Tombstone.
He was portrayed as a "kind of good guy" in that old TV show and a friend of the marshal, but was about as bad as can be imagined (even murdering an unarmed priest) in the movie.
To make things even a bit more confusing about Ringo is that the same actor that played him in Tombstone Territory was the very same actor playing Doc Holliday in the TV show The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp with Hugh O'Brian playing Earp.
That would never happen to Johnny Ringo ....................... he's no daisy ..............
Once you reminded me I do remember that song. I wonder how many years it has been since I heard that, or thought of that for that matter. Yep. Getting old!!
"The "Raven"
"Ringo"
Rap
Great actor
"...under his heart, an ounce of lead..."
Really? So someone shot him with a 12 gauge rifled slug?
Poetic license. LOL.
I remember it.
Lorn should have used that ballad in a rap battle he would have won hands down.
Old enough to remember that, also old enough to remember "Wolf Man Jack from Delrio, Texas", 1961-2?
John Wayne also played Johnny Ringo in the movie "Stagecoach", Ringo was a good guy, well educated back then before he fell in with some bad Hombres..😀
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
Maybe he just got shot twice with a 45 colt?

Certainly 62-64. He recorded out of Tijuana, but the station in Del Rio with 10,000 watt transmitter in Ciudad Acuna, mexico rebroadcast it. That is the station I listened too as well. Remember the adds for the "life sized autographed picture of Jesus Christ that glows in the dark?" I remember that and Ringo. Never liked either much, and I am still as old as most here.
Old enough to remember but I was young back then. I can even remember that Aussy hit tune "Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport" and I highly preferred it to the Ringo tune by Lorne Green!
Actually, Lorne wasn't much of a singer in that song. Just a talker. Same for ole Telly Savalas back when he recorded that song by Bread......"If" If a picture paints a thousand words then why can't I paint you? 😁 Telly just talked the words and his recording even made it to the radio!! I guess just a person with a NAME can capitalize on anything!!
I thought for first the thread was about ringo starr
well of course
like it was yesterday .. or 40 yrs ago .. getting old there the same 😁
