CD Player Help

cbxjeffcbxjeff Member Posts: 17,599 ✭✭✭✭

I can't keep up with modern electronics along with many other things. My truck doesn't have a CD player - just a couple of USB inputs for the radio. I converted some CD's to usb storage sticks a couple of years ago and they work pretty good but now some are being corrupt. Maybe leaving them in the truck year around wasn't a good idea. My question is does a portable CD player exist that has an usb output. I do have a 12VDC as well as a 110VAC power source available.

Thanks guys,

We had computers in the past that would play and download CDs. One had two trays that you could copy CDs.

Just about every new laptop computer does not come with a disc drive anymore!! I missed that when I replaced my wife's laptop last year. Sure wish I'd of looked closer to the details but didn't notice until it was already home and in use. The next one for myself will be different.

I know Wal Mart and Best Buy sell external CD players that you can plug into your computer.

They should play in the vehicle also, but I haven't tried one yet. I plan on it though!! I figured they will come on sale for the holidays. I do wonder if they may be prone to skipping as we drive down these extra smooth roads!! Ha!!

To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go out into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness, how cheap, how cowardly, how pathetic. Ted Nugent.

Sorry guys, I was not clear. I'm asking about a CD player that I can use in my truck and it has a USB output so I can plug it into my truck radio's USB input. Maybe something like this doesn't exist.

Yes they do. @Merlinnv12 posted up a nice example. There are others too.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
