I would expect to get some donuts with that brand of coffee!
The way my taste buds are reacting to various things these days, I can get away with just buying original roast Maxwell House which is what I've been drinking since my coffee addiction started way back in the 20th century. So far, I've never had a problem finding it just about anywhere coffee is sold. I also wake up each morning knowing that my old friend Juan Valdez and his donkey are living very well in retirement! 😁
I think you mean Mule as opposed to donkey ,,,,,, but the coffee is still good. 😊
Looks like a mule in Brookwood's post tho.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Do a better search @Mr. Perfect
You can't always trust wikipedia 😁
Or an even better story about "Conchita" the mule:
yes, sometimes i get bored...
As a life long ‘Mule’ rider I do believe I know the difference between a mule and a donkey ,,,,, mule on the left, donkey on the right ,,,,,
4th paragraph down ,,,,,,
‘The FNC introduced the fictional character of Juan Valdez, a Colombian coffee farmer who often appears with his mule Conchita, in 1958. Sánchez replaced the original Juan Valdez actor, José Duval, in 1969, occupying the role in print and on screen from 1969 until his retirement in 2006. The character, now played by Carlos Castañeda, is used to convey a sense of pride related to the distinct quality of Colombian-grown coffees.’
As I said, looks like a mule to me. 🤷♂️

A donkey and a mule
A donkey can be a mules daddy but not vice versa.
Reverse equals a ‘hinny’ ,,,,,,,,,
A hinny is a domestic equine hybrid, the offspring of a male horse (a stallion) and a female donkey (a jenny). It is the reciprocal cross to the more common mule, which is the product of a male donkey (a jack) and a female horse (a mare).
Thanks @montanajoe for your suggestion to split this from the coffee discussion. Me, being guilty for going off topic, offer my apologies to our forum members.
I do however find this new Donkey\Mule thread to be MOST INTERESTING and ask all with any knowledge, experience, stories, and pictures to please share. 😊
Let’s not forget the ‘Mammoth Jack’ ,,,,,,,, can trace it’s lineage in this country to George Washington .
A BIG reason I'm a fan of Ken Curtis (Festus Hagan) and Morgan Woodward (Shotgun Gibbs) is because of their faithful best friends. Their Mules!
The mule that Festus rode the majority of the time was a ‘John (neutered)’ ,,,,,, one of the best broke John mules I’ve ever seen. Albeit, he called him by a female name, Ruth. Coincidentally, I owned a Molly by that name.
An interesting ‘tidbit’ ,,,,,,,, 😁

The challenge for many folks is if they're smarter than the mule.
Good job on the split @Brookwood , exactly how it works.
Just like pickin' up the 7-10 with yer eyes closed. Easy peasy.
So-I remember a song that went something like "A mule is an animal with long floppy ears, bah-bah-bah-, I'd rather grow up and be a mule". What are the rest of the lyrics😜
Here ya go!
The best mule song has to be Mule Skinner Blues.
Lots of folks have done it but this one is my favorite.

I could never quite wrap myself around the occupation of a "Mule Skinner." Buffalo skinner, yes but mule definitely NOT! If actually practiced it would be barbaric and inhumane to my tender sensibilities toward mules.
By the way, as a disclaimer; "I'm no tree hugger" 😁 But I do highly appreciate nice grain structure!
we don't have many donkeys and mules but we have a lot of Jackasses1
on here 🤣
Donkeys make great livestock guardians.
I've heard many ranchers mix them in with their stock. Will not back down and kick to death predators.
😂 I had a big Molly mule that, for whatever reason, couldn’t tolerate mice.
Neighbor was moving a brush pile when a mouse ran out into my round pen. That ol’ girl went bat guano crazy. She chased that mouse across the pen, trying to stomp it with her front hooves. I thought she was going to crash through the steel panels. Finally, she stomped said mouse before crashing. The other mule was somewhat perplexed, wondering what the hell was going on.
On a serious note, never let small children play around mules unless the mules are accustom to them. Small children are just another animal to a mule.
Thanks! Now I have that Bing Crosby mule song stuck in my head!
