"Iranian lawmakers have, in recent days, called for strict punishments for the protesters who have been arrested. On Monday, CNN reported that a letter signed by 227 members of the Iranian parliament urged that the protesters be given harsh punishment that "would serve as a good lesson in the shortest possible time."

"On Tuesday, parliament did just that, voting to impose the death penalty on all protesters in custody as a "hard lesson" for all rebels. The majority in favor of the penalty was considerable, 227 out of the 290 total members, matching the number of lawmakers who signed the letter."

It is unclear when the executions will be carried out, but the task will potentially be significant. As of Thursday, CNN reported, about 14,000 people had been arrested in connection with the recent protests. On Tuesday, Carnegie Endowment fellow Karim Sadjadpour said the number was nearing 15,000.

Yes, we could but it would be very unwelcome.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Iran? What could people possibly be protesting in that Mideastern Utopia?

Too bad the 14K people arrested couldn't have united and overwhelmed the 227 who wants them killed.

If only there were tools available that could have helped them with that...

Maybe Biden will give them some of ours.

That is a lot of people to execute at one time.

I can see that happening here easy.

Human life doesn't mean squat over there! At least not to those making all the rules.

Each of those 15 thousand or so people have families and friends. Martyrdom makes dead people into hero's. I see a revolution is coming to Iran very soon.

Doesn't mean a whole lot more here either...how many did Cuomo kill in New York again..or has everyone forgotten..??

No way, more heinous crimes like theft and burglary are at least given a slap on the wrist

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

If the Dembots and Fembots had their way.................yes. Fortunately, we live in a fairly free republic at this time...........so for right now.............NO

A king is traditionally the representative of the poor.

Our country and system of government were founded by people fleeing royal oppression.

Now it's being flooded by people fleeing poverty.

Soon we will be too dumbed down to be able to function with our present rights.

You can't have free speech if someone is bound to get confused and scared for being criticized. They are already canceling people just for having anything critical to say about any number of taboo topics.

In short, we're being flooded by people who need a simpler program.

    Won't happen here anytime soon.

But Alpine's right. The current regime could imprison that many and hold them indefinitely without trial.

Could we see this in the US in the future? Won't it happen anytime soon?

I posted my tirade about a king being the representative of the poor and what not on another forum, I can't say which one, and I got this reply by a poster calling himself "TonyS":

"It's important to reduce the European population in the US because they are the ones who are most adhere to the principles of the Nation's founding and are most closely tied to principles of Western Civilization. They deserve to be reduced because they lack any sense of cultural or racial cohesion and because of their genocidal past.

Hispanics on the other hand have very strong cultural cohesion which is why Spanish is replacing English in some Texas public schools and why the Anglo/European population is being reduced to 2nd class citizen status. Demographics is destiny and it is less the case the Anglo's are being replaced than it is the case that they are dying out."

"Spanish is replacing English in some Texas public schools" @SoreShoulder please site your source for this statement.

Pretty sure the statement came from a pasted quote taken from someone on another forum Brent. SoreShoulder was just sharing the scary to me thoughts of someone that I hope and pray are not a US citizen.

Working in Anaheim, CA. at Disney back in 2003 or so, I entered a large grocery store and was surprised to see all signage written in Spanish. This was just a short distance from Disney's front gate. Around the same time, I was working at Lockheed in Marietta, Ga. on a paint booth for the F22's. There was a whole crew there who spoke no English, only Spanish. The other contractors would complain in the weekly meetings about not being able to communicate with them. Their boss was the only English speaker. Saw the same on a job for a research facility in the Woodlands near Houston, Tx.

Having lived in both California and Texas, among other places, having grocery stores dedicated to Hispanic customers is fairly common and work crews with only the "Jefe" (boss in Spanish) speaking English is also very common in many South Western states, My issue was the statement about the Texas public schools since it implied that "replacing" English as opposed to what is actually being Bilingual which is also common... @Brookwood I believe you are correct that it wasn't a direct quote from @SoreShoulder so I guess not his responsibility to have a source, My request was because I searched and could not find a source for the statement being accurate... anyways not a big deal I guess and my name is "Bret" not "Brent" 😁

I can't mention the forum I gleaned the quote from, because it is probably one of the sites the GB management doesn't like. I will PM you the site.

There seems to be fewer Latin American migrants going to the old South than to the rest of the country, except maybe Texas which they probably still view as Mexico, and Florida because Castro made it necessary to flee.

Can it be the people who think like the poster I quoted see the old South as kindred spirits? They do have what the poster calls a "sense of cultural or racial cohesion." Maybe they respect the old South's feelings that they are bonded to the land and want to avoid it out of respect, and maybe that in turn means they are forming a coalition which is holding the border open.

Maybe they stole their crown jewels back because they wish to use them again at some point.

Those white people are dying off like flies too! To busy taking drugs! Those Mexicans are smart selling it to us and now are going to become the majority soon,White early settlers had 8 or 9 children in the day and now it's payback time,so stop griping. Whites made choices in their life and we seemed to made the wrong ones too!
