Wife went to the rescue place and brought this monster home... only about 6 weeks old and already about 30 lbs. They had named him Timmy, but I think he will be Spooky although so far he is called No! Stop that! and SOB! more than Spooky... been awhile and I forgot all the "joys" of training pups to not mess in the house...

Yep he is gonna be a bigun, his head and paws are way bigger than his skinny belly right now. DeeGee the 1 year old cat does not approve, she packed her kitty bags and moved in to the mud room after hiding behind the refrigerator for over 24 hours... Pepe the chihuahua mix is tolerating Spooky but leery as all get out since he has already been in his mouth...

Best dog I've had turned out to be a rescue. Called an add in the paper only to find when I got there it was a puppy mill. Must have been 25-30 puppies in that ankle deep mud and dog * loaded pen, along with two females still nursing. When I entered the pen they all crowded up against the back fence. When I crouched down and put my hand out one pushed his way through, grabbed my thumb and gave it a shake. Wasn't a hard bite, just sayin' 'let's play'. Took him to the Vet the next morning to get the skin fungus treated and Doc Wingert and I got the ball rolling to shut that place down.

About 4 hours ago my wife let-back-in our little mutt, that she saved when the dogs owner passed(a family friend).
Weeellllllllll......we now have a new rule. Barely crack the door......to sniff the air BEFORE letting the dog into the house. My better half says that the skunk just sprayed him "a little bit"........YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.!!!!!
We emptied two cans of deodorizer, and there's candles everywhere!!!!!

Been there, done that! Try this concoction. We've had to use it three times over the last few years and it works pretty well. We try to make sure we have plenty of hydrogen peroxide on hand, just in case.
When I did it I just stripped down to my skivvies and got in the walk in shower with the dog(s).
@62vld2042, @NeoBlackdog's formula is the right idea to get the smell off the dog, just don't get them wet with water until after the solution is put on. As far as the house smell, opened cans of cheap coffee or poured into several bowls around the house will absorb some of the smell after being there for a few days and open the windows as much as you can, I know it is hard to do when it's cold like it is now, but there is no miracle cure that I know of, just takes time...
