Over the last year I have received on consignment ten or twelve handguns, from two different customers, worked on by Sandy Garret at Northern Virgina Gun Works and man they have all been special. This Sig 1911 "Max Michel" 1911 9mm came in today and I really wanted to shoot it. I grabbed a box of 115 gr (it is a 9mm by the way) and drove to the house. I had a brand new 4 1/2" steel target on my range and I tore it up. This gun just works!! The trigger, sights, big grit covered ROCCO grips, I like it. I really hate to sell this one.

If you really hate to sell it you can give it to me for Christmas! 😊
Sweet
Keep it and get a 38 Super, and a 9x23 barrel and then put on a different slide & barrel to shoot .38 Special Wadcutter ,,,,,, you’ll like it.
If only he knew someone that could make all that work...
what he looks like ? just my guess just another fellow old guy
Max Michel is a great guy, here’s a little story for you about Max.
If you don’t know, he is the Tom Brady of the shooting world- totally dominate.
A few years ago at USPSA NATIONALS, I had just finished my last stage of the 3 day match, and it turned out I was just ahead of the super squad (the 10 best shooters in the country) and as a result, I got to watch the final stage of Nationals.
Everyone else had already headed into the reception area.
All the super squad shooters have their own Entourages and there are lots of cameras etc.
Max was the last shooter of the last stage of the day and it was too close to call- he had to run the stage perfectly to win the championship.
He does exactly what he needed to do, burns down the stage and wins the USPSA Nationals.
Everyone there erupted, it was really exciting to see.
Then he turned around and policed his own brass and thanked the staff.
It wasn’t until after that, he let it sink in he had just won the Nationals.
Awesome dude.
Good to see they found a way to recycle those roof shingles.
