Just finished my second cup of coffee and saw the sun hitting the top of the Bitterroot's with the moon going down.... 5 degrees out there.

Although your view is beautiful, and I do enjoy seeing pictures of it, I'll just keep my 70 * weather. Thanks for posting that grand vista!
I am with hillbillies and grdad45. Too cold for my southern thinned out old blood . Sure is pretty !

Nice!
Todd, did you know right where you're setting used to be part of Oregon Territory, and then was part of Washington Territory? I bet you are glad that was squared away long ago.
No, I didn't Randy, please enlighten me, sounds interesting..
Here's a quick history for you. Basically Oregon Territory encompassed everything from California to Canada, and from the Pacific east to the continental divide. In the early 1850s everything north of the Columbia River became Washington Territory. Stevensville is named for Issac Stevens, who was the first governor of Washington.

Took a detour from my normal drive to Spokane via I-15/90 and went along the route from Dillon to Wisdom and up to Missoula. If I remember the correct location the valley around Jackson and Wisdom is quite beautiful. If I had the money, I'd retire in the foothills of the Bitterroot (Could be the Beaverhead)...still a damn beautiful area.
I'm in the Bitterroot Valley, which is about 40 miles or so East of Idaho, South of Missoula and west of I-90. The Beaverhead valley is SE of me maybe 100 miles or so, closer I believe to montanajoe.

Lovely scenery toad! Reminds me a bit from a favorite movie.
