For a week.....we had to be mature and put it off as it will be too crappy out there for all to get here safely. So we are hunkering down for a few days and hopefully things will clear up. Next week it us suppose to be in the 40 -50's so New Years and Christmas will be combined !!!
Hope you all are going to miss this mess....not so concerned with the snow. It is the 40 to 50 mph winds and negative temps that will be an issue...
Martha will be in her little shelter in the garage for the duration...If it is coming your way, hunker down and be safe !

Stay safe, stay warm.
Already -22 without wind chill, here
You western/northern guys are going to shake your heads but here in South Carolina I'm hearing a lot of complaining about a low of 15 degrees predicted this week!
15 is pretty cold here!!
Supposed to go to -5 over the weekend. Bring it on, just another day closer to spring.
And that's the thing. For you guys yes that is COLD, you normally don't have weather like this.
@William81 I'm prepped for it. Being south of you I'm on the line between blizzard and just cold with a dusting. I'll know more in 48 hours. 😆
Stay warm and take care of your ticker and Martha. I've done all I can for my critters.
Snowflake. I mean look out for snowflakes! And best wishes for a warm Christmas whenever
If you are celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus, the date really doesn't matter.
No we will be going to Christmas Eve service and Christmas day services too.....
Wish I could cancel Christmas permanently around here.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
The front is in Central Texas now.......in the next two hours we should see temps drop from near 50 into the teens.
North Texas was 40 this am and now at 14 and dropping... single digits coming overnight... not the kind of weather we are used to and I don't like it at all, Just can't understand how some of yawl live in much colder than this...
Yep.......it was 12 degrees at 7am this morning, as I was driving my wife to the doctor.
Light horizontal snow......at about 40mph.
BTW.......yes......it's COVID. She had been feeling poorly since Tuesday night. We both had it in early January 2020.......and she later got THE SHOT, where I did NOT.
Guess we'll see how well my so-called built-up immunity works.
Take care of her and stay well yourself. Best wishes sent @62vld2042
Damn global warming. Please forgive me for not going green and buying a Tesla.
@62vld2042 stay warm and hopefully the other half will recover fully,
Ruger & Joe......thanks for the kind thoughts. Looks like I'll need them.......for MYSELF also.
Although my better half is doing marginally better, through doses of Paxlovid, I came down with it about 48 hours later. I will say that this bout of the China Virus is somewhat milder than what I fought in early 2020.
I wonder......can I get Paxlovid over-the-counter? 🤔😇
Later fellas.......
@62vld2042 call whoever prescribe it for your wife, according to what I just looked up, you may be able to get it without a medical visit depending upon your current/recent blood tests and records, Worth a try I guess.
Thanks for the info.
Bottom line........looks like our Christmas will be on New Years Eve.
We are doing the same with our kids. The weather is moderating but the forecast a week out looks much better. Combining Christmas and New Years; not for the first time, either. Have done it 3 or 4 times over the past 30 years.
Dog gone it. Prayers, best wishes continue.
We missed Christmas last year for same reason.
Prayers
Thanks again Joe.
Seems when it rains.......it pours.
At about 5:30 this morning I started experiencing a fresh bout of Phantom Pains........due to an injury encured over 50 years ago. These days I can usually limit the effects by consuming excessive amounts of Tramadol......and limit the time duration. In the old days, for severe episodes that lasted up to 48 hours, I had to resort to using a TENS Unit.......turned on HIGH.
Feeling a bit better now........although a little "out-of-it".
All this on Christmas day.........😟
