Beware: Ammo Depot are Scammers
I recently purchased a Taurus Judge on Gunbroker.com and was looking for some 410 defense ammo. Nobody close to me has any so I went on the Internet and found this place in Florida called Ammunition Depot. I looked at some reviews and they looked legitimate so I ended up buying about $100 worth of ammo from them. When I completed the purchase, they told me they would send me an email about how to pay them. I received the email and it instructed me to use Zelle to send them the money. My local bank uses Zelle so I figured everything was still legitimate After waiting a week to get an email of them shipping it, I called Ammunition Depot and found out that there was a scammer out there called Ammo Depot that was appearing to be Ammunition Depot. I called my bank and found out that I'm pretty well screwed on getting my money back. I just wanted everyone on this forum to watch out for Ammo Depot! They are scammers!!!

Thanks for the heads up and sorry for your lost $$$. I hate scammers and thieves with a passion!
Welcome to our GB forum.
No .410 defense ammo on Gunbroker?
Last spring I was looking for some 12 & 20ga target loads for our high school skeet team and found a site that "claimed" to be Federal Ammunition. The prices were lower than anywhere else and even had low shipping costs if you bought a pallet of shells. It looked to good to be true and when I saw they would only accept bitcoin or zelle as payment options, I figured it was a scam. I sent Federal an email and informed them and got a thank you back. So, yeah it pays to be careful and I refuse to pay by any method that leaves me no way of recouping any losses. Sorry you got taken, but at at least it was a cheap lesson. Bob
Thanks for the heads up. Zelle should only be used to send $ to people you know.
NEVER, EVER use any type of those things for payment. If they won't accept a credit card, move on. Almost all of them are scams.
+1
They need to be reported to Santa.
Lots of red flags there. Email on how to pay? Nope. That's a scam all day.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Thanks for all your comments! I have learned my lesson! LOL Like the one comment said, it was a cheap lesson, it will never happen again! Still make me mad tho, I thought I was pretty careful about getting scammed! I guess not!!! LOL I reported them to some Fraud website and I ended up calling Zelle. I was surprised the guy even took down all the information about the scammer. I went onto the Zelle website and the scammer, Janeah Jackson, is still listed as an active user. Hopefully Zelle shut her down.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and hoping for better 2023!
OTOH, there is a brick & mortar gun store and shooting range in my area that is called "Ammo Depot." It is a first-rate outfit.
