I have an old Husqvarna chainsaw that I acquired well used about 1984.If I remember correctly it had a 20 or 24 inch bar that I replaced with a 16 inch for easy handling.I would like to restore it,but any model or series numbers are long worn away.Any ideas on how to ID the model and year that I need to order parts?

Double-check with this guidance:
Husqvarna Chainsaw Model & Serial Number Locations
Husqvarna chainsaws usually have a model number decal clearly visible on the side of the recoil starter assembly.
Husqvarna chainsaws also have a small metal plate stamped with more detailed information including the model number, part number, and serial number of the unit. This plate is located in different places depending on the model of the saw.
• Located near the oil fill cap on most Husqvarna chainsaws.
• For chainsaw models 340, 345, 350, 351, 353, 346XP, it's located on bar side of the saw, under the handle.
• For chainsaw models 136 & 141 - Located on bar side of the saw
On the plate, the top number is the Husqvarna model number, the second is the part number of the unit, and the bottom number is the serial number of the unit. Model Number: 240
Part Number: 952 80 21-54
Serial Number: 2012 4500131
Thanks
I mentioned my Husqvarna rifle to someone and he said, "The chainsaw outfit made rifles?" I said, "No. The rifle outfit made chainsaws!"
If you can't get anywhere with an ID tag, maybe post up a couple pictures. Depending on which parts you need, we may be able to just eyeball it good enough.
A chainsaw is not heavy equipment unless you are small and week with tiny hands.
I have seen ads for these new chainsaws for senior, only about 8-10 inches long. Think we should chipin for one for Ken??????
"My next door neighbor/buddy,"
I thought "buddy" was your dog and lived with you? Now he's a neighbor with a chain saw? LOL!🤣
Were you able to ID your saw?
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Ricci, A true test of manhood would be to put rainbow stickers on that pink Volvo & drive it across Texas.
Well, he has them all over his jeep now and to put them on his pink Volvo would just be redundant.
You have a diamond in the rough. That saw was made in Sweden. These days, few if any Husqvarnas are made in Sweden.
Best I can tell its a model 61 or 66.Are they worth restoring and can I stll find parts? It is a Swedish built saw.
Toad, for some reason, that Stihl saw reminds me of me.
😄😄😄
I have a Husky 61, and have had no trouble getting parts for it.
You two guys crack me up. 😄
Normally, or just in cold weather?🤣
Seniors, Hell no! They are for the WOKE Rainbow generation to trim their plants. Ma en me cut 8 cord with my 'ol Dolmar every year. I gotta confess though, she bought me a gas splitter a few years back. I'm 79 and Ma is 78, I married a youngin'.
