Since no reply if me I would do a internet search
" if me I would do a internet search'...........BTDT, that's why I asked here
I did some in depth and it either changes owners and names or moved to Oklahoma.
The one in Ok is spelled "SHOPPE". I was hoping someone from the Palmdale area would check in
I'd imagine that in today's world, if it can't be found on the internet, it does not exist.
Looks like the owner closed up shop in about 1988

Looks like Mr. P found him for you! Good job.
Whoa!! Did you look through that site?
Briefly. Big bores are not my thing but his rifles are very pretty.

"https://www.rbbigbores.com/".........no answer to the e=mail so I called him. Very nice man & answered my questions about the .460 express (.404/.458). remembered building the rifle (pre 1988), said it was a "kicker"
Glad this worked out for you.

Contact made, got to speak to him, and he remembers it. Now that is just cool ending to the hunt.
"I will be curious to know how it all works out for you.".........the rest of the story
after sitting in the pawn shop for 2 months I offered what I thought was a fair price and walked out with it, now to find dies & brass.
That's great to hear Mike!
2 months is a long time for you to sit in a pawn shop.
