Contender Barrel for my father.

Dad wants a 22 Hornet barrel for his contender. It has to match his other barrels and be blued, and 14" long. Well I have been looking for about 6 months now and have not found one.
The reason I have not found one , is because they do not exist!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣 They only made them in 10" or a 16" K Hornet. I'm going to buy him one for his birthday this year. I think he has just about every caliber, minus a few, for his contender. Two years ago, I bought him one in 22 Jet, and a 375 H&H, that a friend was selling. Priced have gone through the roof on these barrels.
I don't particularly like these bulky handguns, But my pop loves them. He hunts with one every deer, turkey and small game season. He is a pretty damn good shot too. Oakie

It can't be a 375 H&H. Has to be a 375 Win. I had one of those and loved it, btw. Extremely accurate.
There used to be several custom Contender barrel makers. Sadly, Bullberry closed shop a while ago. But there are or were others and the Hornet was a popular chambering. There should be some out there.
At our local outdoor range,a guy in his 80s shows up with his Contender in 22LR.He has some targets he made up with about 50 one inch squares. He sets up at 50 yards and shoots every square usually with 50 shots. He said shooting helps his concentration. It must work because he is a little slow getting around, but he is still mentally sharp and quick witted.
Might try a fellow in my neighborhood,,,,, his father does custom barrel work on T/C.
bellm tc barrels
Have you checked with these guys?
Looks like this is what the original Bullberry transitioned into. Bob
I just bought a 22 hornet encore barrel from Bullberry last year. They will make whatever you want, but you need to be patient, as the material acquisition is holding up build time.
Sure like my Texas 25-35 Carbine.
The most accurate handgun I've ever seen was an old Contender Super 14 in .30-30. Ironically, the least accurate (for that type) was an octagon Contender barrel in .222 Remington. Any given load, and you would've been lucky to hit a 9" pie plate at 100. It was the only .222 I know of that wouldn't shoot well. An old friend of mine had a big collection of Contender pistol barrels, and was the reason I became a fan of it, and the Encore. The .375 JDJ was pretty lively, I'll say.
I see that Fred has sort of "unretired" and the business is still active.

Match Grade Machine and Bullberry Barrel works will make exactly what you want at fair prices for a superior barrel in any length you desire.
Thank you for the info. I called Bullberry and waiting for a return call. Thanks again, Oakie
.375 H&H Magnum in a handgun? Good Lord! I saw a video of a fool shooting a handgun chambered in .600 Nitro Express. When he fired it the gun just disappeared from his grasp. Who knows where it finally came down.
There is a company here in MN that has been making standard and custom barrels for T/C guns for 25 years: E. Arthur Brown (eabco). I have no doubt they can produce anything you want. Check out the website.
I forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder. My mind has been slipping as I get older.
