I picked up a used 2019 F150 Platinum 4x4 with 18k miles on it, a few weeks ago. Wow is it nice!!! It has the 3.5 ecoboost and a 36 gal gas tank. It moves out! I found myself doing 77 in a 55 not too long ago.
This will replace my 4Runner for road trips / longer drives. I already have a Cat Shield / Skid Plate for it and plan to pick up some used Ford Raptor 17 inch wheels, 33 inch All Terrain tires, and a small 2 inch lift kit.

my youngest son drives an old 2001 F-150
not near that nice
Nice.
I've got under my shed a 1991 F-150 XLT, 5.0 loaded that belonged to my oldest brother with 130,000 original miles on it. 😊
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
keep that oil changed. Replacing turbos is expensive.
I drive a 2018 f150 extended cab 2 wheel drive with the 3.3 v6 . Gets 20 mpg on average around town. My last three vehicles have been f150s
Mine is 34 years old
Nope! Not a F-150 but a 2007 Ford Ranger Sport 4x4 4 liter with 85,000 miles on it that I bought from my BIL a couple years ago. I didn't need it and only drive it to haul stuff that won't fit in my KIA. Keep the truck off the road in the salty winter months stored the garage.
I had to take it into the dealership for a recall on the airbags last fall and kept getting hit on by 2 car salesmen who were lusting for my truck!! I had to tell them to back off or I'll get out my bear spray! 😁
These are stock pics off the internet but are exactly like my truck color and all.
Get an extended warranty... It is not cheap, but everything on those like all new vehicles is very expensive to fix. What MPG are you getting? I have a Ranger 2.3L turbo Eccoboost 2020 that shows 26mpg on the computer and did get an extended warranty, just too much junk on these newer vehicles.
That old 87 Power Ram in the background may still out last it. It purrs like a kitten and gets 23mpg.
My 02 PS 7.3L 444ci 6 speed manual just clicked over 39k and still in good shape. It is still OEM. I have driven some of these newer diesels with the Regen and DEF and they are so clogged up my ol truck will hang with them still.
Sweet! I have a 2010 F150 4x4 that is still plugging along and just under 200,000 miles.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
2016...Bought it new, and drove it from Upstate New York to the western slope of Colorado. I got twenty-two mpg, ran like a top.
I had a '94 F-150. Extended cab, short box, 302 with a 5 speed manual. I think that was the best body style Ford ever built. Sure wish I could have kept it but it was just too light for my work.
I have a 06 F150 with a 6 cylinder that gets better mileage than my 95 F250 v8 both have 8ft beds but just regular cabs and a driveway gate post made from telephone pole jumped right out in front of the 06 and dented all down the passenger side so not as pretty as some of ya'lls.
My boys have a 2001 and 2013 F-150s. I have had F-150s for years. The last one was a 2006 model. Had it 13 years with 318,000 miles. Sold it to a buddy of mine-still running. Have an F-250 now to pull a cattle trailer.
I've had few trucks and my favorite has always been the F150 - good choice on that 2019 F150. That 3.5 ecoboost has really proven to be a good motor.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
I had an 08. It was the biggest POS I ever owned. Usually I keep vehicles till they die, but this thing spent more time at the shop than in my driveway. Smiled for a week when I got rid of that! Eventually moved on to Toyota.
i should update my history . My first ford truck was a 1967. since then i have owned the following , 1969 1970 1973 1977,1985 1995 and my current 2018 .First truck I learned to drive was a 1966
Then you know better than to buy a Toyota -
There is a reason that the Ford F-150 is historically the best selling truck in the world.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
I am on my third 150. The first was a 1990 that I bought a 92. Sold it in 05 and bought an 03. Sold the 03 in 2019 and bought a 2017. All three were extra cabs with V8 and automatics. I am loving this 2017 model with the six speed transmission.
Are ye daft man? Fix or repair daily. Though it has been over 40 years since I owned one. Young and dumb I was.
First On Race Day !
For Only Real Drivers
I would rather push my Ford than drive a Chevy!
In the 52 years I have owned my 68 Bronco, it has never left me stranded!
Yes, there is a reason for that, and the only thing possibly better than an F-150 is an F-250. I don't have an F-150 now. I have a 1994 F-250 diesel 5spd 4x4 that I bought for $500.00 in 2008.
I have a F-350
Nice Ride drobs !
2015 F-150 I purchased new in November that year. It has been a great daily runner for me ever since...
My '18 won't go any faster than 102 MPH. But it gets there in about 10 seconds.
My current 2018 is the only vehicle I have ever owned that I have no idea how fast it will go . Always rung one out within a few days of buying it before . Now it doesn't matter as much to me . I had more than my share of hotrods in my time
This is my "new" truck..........76 F-250 highboy. Good old truck (and no payments either).
1998 F-150 4.6L 5-speed and manual transfer case with auto hubs.
Let me guess.. 5.4 .. Right..??
Found On Road Dead....
Why on Gods green earth would I want to spell anything backwards. Sometimes Ma and I use pig latin around the great grand kids. BTW, my first Ford truck was a '34. My Dad paid $35.00 back in '57 and it came with a spare 85 engine.
After buying my 2018 days before the plague started (Feb 29, 2020), I have been very satisfied.
The 2.7 EB pulls my boat like its not even there, the acceleration is awesome and it rides nice. Gas mileage is unbelievable. I've spent more at the carwash than the mechanic. Over the 60k I've owned it, it's had the oil changed and a new set of tires.
Your mileage may vary.
I have always bought nothing but Fords. We have an Excursion and an Expedition. Last year, I sold my F250 and wanted to buy another pickup. While looking for another F250, I saw a Dodge Ram sitting in a used truck center. Just for the hell of it, We took it for a ride. SOLD. I love this truck. Metallic Brown paint. After driving this for a year, back and forth to the mountain house, I won't ever buy another pickup, except a Dodge.
By the way, even though I am a Ford guy, I will admit, I have had Nothing but problems with every Ford motor we have owned. I think that is why I switched to a Dodge. I definitely will never own a Chevy. I just don't like the looks of them.
Ford lost my business over the 5.4 cam chain phasers. Now driving a '21 Tundra and consider it an excellent driving and riding truck.
As a matter of fact, it was.
It wasn't just the spark plugs and the phasers. The transmission. The 4X4 system. (Yea, it's vacuum operated) The 4X4 hubs.
2017 F250. 8 foot bed.
I love it.
I had a couple of Effing 150's and will NEVER own another. I even hate to ride in Son's current work pickup (Ford).
Mpg showing on the dash when bought was 15. I'm getting 17.8 now around town. I think it will improve. I took it over to the local Tire Shop / Oil Change place, to use there lift, and add a Cat Shield / Transmission Skid Plate to it. It prevents a thief from getting a sawsall on the cats:

The owner of the shop was out running errands. His 19 year old helper and I installed the skid. The kid wanted to give up early on trying to install the skid as no instructions came with it and the online instructions weren't very good. I coaxed him along and we both knocked it.
I bought a set of four 17 inch Raptor wheels off facebook market place.
A friend offered to sell me his 285/70R17 Falken Wildpeak AT3W's (5 tires) off his Jeep Gladiator for $500. I'm going to take him up on it. Then I plan to add this leveling kit:
I would also like to add a front hitch receiver bumper. These 2 are in the running.

I've had 4 of these already and think they are the best trucks on the market. I had Eco-Boost engines on the first 2 models but changes to the 5.0 V-* on the last 2 units because of lost gas mileage during winter/ cold weather. The problem is this past month I was going to trade again (every 2 years) but Ford did away with all the major incentive programs, so as to dramatically increase the price of the truck (almost twice the trade cost of my previous vehicle). I have since decided to wait on the purchase due to the trade cost and financing rates. I thought companies were trying to move inventory, but I guess I was WRONG on this one. Plus they told me it would take 4 months for a new delivery on 2023. Carry over 2022 trucks with no mileage was No Deal either. I don't think sales are going to be booming!!
Are the bodies still steel or did they go to alum?
