It is 6 degrees out and wind is blowing 40-60 mph. Windchill 40 to 50 below zero.
Wood furnace is keeping house toasty at 75 degrees but it is brutal outside. The chickens won't even come out of their coup.

Where? Minus five in Wis. at noon.
SW NH
stay warm
Got up to about 51 degrees just north of Fort Worth today and 97% or so of all the freezing rain we had with below 30 tempts for 3 or so days is melted and gone! Got out and went to 3 stores, feed, gas station and Kroger's it was slim Pickens at Kroger's either others got out earlier than me or they braved the ice because shelves were pretty bare... Time to get back to building the well house/shed again tomorrow.
Our wood furnace is cranking away and keeping house toasty. We are doing better than some down south.
Spoke with someone in Franklin TN. They were working from home all businesses were closed because of ice storm.
I will take the cold and snow if we had it over an ice storm.
A lot warmer in my refrigerator than it is outside!
10:34 pm -19.5 F and still falling.So. VT
Been here 20 yrs and it's the coldest I've seen.
NW CT -15 windchill -32 to cold
minus 108 on Mt. Washington set a new record.
That was the windchill. Doesn't really count... 😁
I have been in NH. One of the most beautiful states in the country!!!!!!!!!. It is even cold there in the summer. Was there three years ago on the 4th of July, and we were in sweatshirts.
16 yesterday.....near 60 today. Plays havoc with my head and sinuses !
Yes, I go through the same thing. Next week going to be in the forties so sinuses will be a mess.
same here, by thursday 60's, 20 as I type....
40s today and 60s plus all next week eastern nc . Low of 20 last nite . Wind chill 22 as I type
Around here in upstate SC the lows are usually in the 20s and highs in the 50s.I know that is not much of a winter where some of you folks are from but the older I get,the more I dread winter.
Six degrees in Monroe, NY this AM. Was ten degrees last night around 10pm. Wind was 30-40 mph and blew my grill all the way across my deck. Could feel vibration in kitchen while talking to daughter upstate. Really scary as my wife felt vibration in sofa from Mineral, Virginia earthquake years ago (430 miles) My daughter had 10-15 below zero and horrific wind to boot in Delaware County. Couple hundred Canadian geese sitting around pond like a mound of feathers. Too cold to even peck at the grass! ---------------------------Ray
5 degrees here in SD this morning. We have deep snow and the pheasants are starving. They scratch and dig there way up on top and wander around all day 3 feet above the ground looking for food. I bet I saw 200 of them in the mile around my house.
It's bumping 80* in South Georgia, I've been helping my Grandson work on repairing a few tractors for the last 4 days and have dripped sweat the whole time, especially when working on replacing hydraulic lines in close/tight spaces 🤬. One day soon I'm going to quit be Grand Pa., enjoy your coolness while you can, it makes for good excuses not to do anything 😀

I have always thought the "temperate zone" misnamed. I have seen 113 above and -17 actual in my years. I call a range of 70-85 temperate. Did I mention I love Costa Rica?
Been doing Mimi duty in Rogers Arkansas. Stepped outside yesterday. Temp was 45. Felt as if we were having a heat spell. Still had plenty of ice in the ground.
The data the windchill temperature chart is based on is about as reliable as MSNBC and as scientific as the flat earth society.

Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
