My grandson took 2nd place in division wrestling. He goes on to regional going in , in 3rd place. He has only been wrestling 2 yrs. but has worked extremely hard to excel. He has still made honor roll and was student of the semester. The guy is a machine he has built himself.
UPDATE: Just qualified to go to State Match next week. His next match today will place him 3rd or 4 th. in Regional.

Sounds like a wonderful young man who has his head on straight. Wishing him the best of luck.
congrats to a good job and effort. keep it up young fellow
have two nieces. I have not seen for years I hear both are doing great in wrestling I think the older one ( high school ) went on or maybe won state last year the youngest one maybe 12 shattered her elbow a couple months back at a meet and had to have surgery but doing ok
sadly and part my fault I just do not keep up or have seen them for many years all just info passed thru the family grape vine 😁
What Todd said!
I encourage him to continue, it is something that he can utilize the rest of his life. Several times my high school wrestling knowledge has saved me from a beat down. And, unlike street fighting it leaves no marks, unless you want to make a point. I HATE bullies.
Very nice. Must be a chip off his grandfather's block.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Or grandmother's...
Either way, pretty cool!
if grandma is a wrestler, grampa is in trouble.........
Tough sport !!! Congratulations to the young man and those who raised him !!!
I wrestled in H.S. but never made the state finals. There were 900 in my graduating class!! Obviously alot of completion. Fun stuff.
He sure picked a tough sport. He sounds like an awesome young man. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
