I live in California, do I need to possess a FFL license or go through a licensed FFL dealer to sell my ammunition.

NO! Google selling ammo in Ca. Take it to a gun shop and have them sell it. Where do you live in Ka? I am in Lassen County.
That's a trick question - It is the buyer who needs to use an FFL or authorized source to purchase ammunition.

At one time we had four lumber mills, all gone now. Yes we have three prisons, one is closing as punishment for us voting to recall our governor. At last count there were 17 empty businesses in town. Sad.
