Bought our 1st gun on gun broker... No not a #4 Rolling Block Rifle. But a Heritage Rough Rider .22 revolver. It will be fun to plink with... Put the order in this morning, not sure how long it takes, will be shipped to local FFL (ACE Hardware)

Cool, congrats.
It will be lots of fun... .38's and .45's are to expensive to shoot if you don't reload. And I think my mom will have fun!

Nice, congrats on the win!
Nothing like a .22 to have fun with and learn the basics of shooting. Enjoy and concentrate on safety.
You'll be shooting leaves with the best of them.
We all know Rae - bang on that front door at two in the morning and you'll get a whole new meaning of safety!
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
You know me too well...

Good choice. I gave my grandson a Ruger Super Single Six a few years ago. And a brick of ammo. Gotta protect my babies.
Oh know! The rolling block enablers got you too? Our friend Dave is working on a Meriden 10 right now for me😍🥰

Gotta have a.22... I shoot my single six more than any gun I own..
congrats
goes with out saying but I will any way LOL get there and enjoy the time together with the family
even with crazy prices of 22 ammo ( compared to what it use to be ) its still hard to beat the fun for a buck a 22 can give
I try and shoot grampa's .22 as often as I can... My friend is fixing a Meriden 10 for me to help my Rolling Block addiction 🤪

For your next .22, I recommend a WW2-era H&R Reising M65. Just don't faint at the prices.
I currently shoot a Marlin 989 .22

First, my sincerest appreciation that you used the correct "Dad and I" rather than the horribly ungrammatical "Me and Dad".
Second, congrats on acquiring a fun and very practical gun. May it serve you well for decades to come.
The rolling block is a very good safe solid action compared to the old trap door system rifles. A long time ago, I bought an Argentine R\B that IMMIC was chambered for a .41 Spanish round. I ended up giving it to a good friend and mentor that got me started building muzzle loaders. May he RIP.
I have always drooled over the R\B pistol that Annie Oaklie carried! Mother of pearl grips and all!! 😍
That gun will be a lot of fun.
Who knew you could order a gun on Monday and have it delivered Friday?
😁 @Rocky Raab I was home schooled so heaven forbid no bad grammar from me.
@Brookwood now I need a Annie Oakley gun to go with my someday Rolling Block 🥰😍

I have a question.... I own a house in Kansas, if I were to move there would I be able to ship a gun to my front door?
"Independence Now, Independence Forever."
John Adams
Just to clarify - "yes" you may ship a firearm that you already legally own to your home, even out of state, providing that firearm is legal to own in that state.
That door you just kicked in was locked for your protection - not mine.
What I meant is if I bought one online

an antique yes, any modern rifle, shotgun, or pistol would have to go through a FFL, unless you hold a FFL........
Wear muffs.
That mean ol' Quaker Oats man better lookout now!
Yepp..
