Hello, is a non-FFL still able to ship firearm parts to a non-FFL via Fed-Ex or UPS? For example, a shotgun barrel?

I ship barrels through UPS with no issue. USPS now has a $15 excise tax on any package over 30”!I believe and I have a UPS account so it is cheaper that route.!
Yes. Parts. I wouldn’t mention firearms at all to them. Matter of fact , last time they asked I said motorcycle parts when the clerk here in gun scared northern Virginia asked
No parts or firearms ups/fedx with out special account and FFL, if you try to ship parts don't tell ,ups refused to ship customers Mauser stock at counter I had to get special accounts to ship the items
Ship as machinery parts. Nuff said.
Thats crazy. I bet you could have shipped an axe and sledge hammer though! Makes NO sense at all!
Tried to ship a stock from UPS distribution center in Chester,NY couple of years ago at counter. Had hand written policy on wall. Guy refused to ship. Asked for manager. Same story but he was rude. On the way home stopped at Post Office and mailed in same box. No problem. -------------------------------------Ray
And probably 10 pounds of fentanyl too!
Yep the lefty's woke the ship company's
LARGE LETTERS ON OUTER BOX: LAWNMOWER AXLE
"Machine parts" is my standard answer. Worried about an x-ray being done? A couple of layers of aluminum foil strategically placed will answer that question. JS
Alternatively:
LARGE LETTERS ON OUTER BOX: MUFFLER BEARINGS
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I shipped rifle barrels via UPS and the guy didn't bat an eye. It's all in who you get at the counter. I had a USPS worker (female) tell me I couldn't ship a shotgun. I showed her the USPS regulation and she STILL wouldn't do it. Her manager had to take over. If UPS gets out of the business we're only going to have two places to go for pistols...sucks!
What makes no sense to me is why you are telling them what is in the box
List the contents on the box. Most likely the clerk will ask no questions.
A firearm is a machine made up of machinery parts
The only thing I can find about UPS is that frames and receivers must be serialized? Maybe another regulation is out there but ?
