Handgun scopes are black only now?

I was at the LGS a couple weeks ago looking at knives.
While there I noticed a beautiful S&W revolver but didn't take the time to put hands on a it.
Kicking myself!
I went back and it sold.
Anyway, it was the Legend 350 X-frame. That is an awesome looking piece.
So even though I couldn't handle it in person I went to auction side to see what they were going for.
I'll start saving my $ now.
Started looking at scopes and other than a silver/nickel Burris I really don't see much in that color for handgun scopes.
I like the look of my 629 with the silver Leupold & mounts.
Am I not looking in the right places or are silver/nickel scopes out of style now?
I just don't think the black scopes look as nice on top of the big ole silver gun.

Go to auction side and under scopes put the word "silver" in and you can find 17 pages of them.
You're probably correct about that.
I see a lot of scopes in silver.
I'm not seeing much in silver for pistols except that Burris.
I think Leupold just recently discontinued the nickel ones you may find someone that has some in stock yet.
There is a company called Hammers that makes a stainless pistol scope if it will live on the 350 is another question it is only about 80.00 dollars.
Get 'em while the gettin's good!
I had a tough time finding one back around 2005 for my 10/22 pistol. I had built one from scratch starting with a ss rifle. Cost way too much since Ruger won't sell a bare receiver and I had to buy a Volquartsen that cost more than the whole rifle. I was at the Shot Show in Vegas in 2007 and Ruger had just brought out the Charger. I told a Ruger guy at the display that I knew where they sourced the stock. I had bought the same stock a couple of years earlier from an outfit in Florida. He didn't know what to say.
Companies make what sells.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Very hard to find a modestly priced handgun scope these days. Selection is slim, all the cool kids are using red-dots.
"Black Scopes Matter"
I have a set of medium height Burris silver rings, with windage screws on the rear and the dovetail front that are yours for the asking. The front ring is a double, so it would probably work well on the 350 Legend. Just depends on how much tube room you have. Just pm me if you want them, shipping is on me.
Thank you.
I don't have the gun that I'm scope hunting for yet so I appreciate the offer but will pass for now.
I do have the couple of Leupold's in my watchlist, not for the X-frame but for another handgun.
I was just surprised that the silver scopes didn't amount to much selection anymore.
Guess it's been too long since I was looking for any.
Probably would be fine to use a red dot but I just like the look of the silver scope on a silver gun.
Truth is I could probably see the red dot better.
A silver red dot...
I've got one of these (in black) on my Sub-2000. Works great.
Scope and mounts are matte, if you aren’t a sally🙀
That looks pretty cool.
There is a VX-3 that looks good.
It is out of stock most places, but it is something to keep a watch out for.

Just gotta know where to look.
Well, I'm certainly learning more about how to search for stuff.
I thought I was hitting the key words with this.
"leupold vx-3 2.5-8x32mm handgun scope silver"
It resulted in 0 hits. I thought that maybe the "3" was the issue and put "III" in but got no hits.
Trimmed my words to "leupold vx-III 2.5-8x32mm" and found the example you posted.
Thank you for the leads.
