Either you bought it, or you're late to the dance.....
yes sir I bought it
No doubt in my mind, I would have bought it also. Would look great on the wall, nice score!!
I would shoot it.
I plan on it but I still want it on the wall for display and if needed quickly
I think you are on a losing battle with the wife (family member) to hang it on the LV wall. It needs to go in your den or office wall where you will appreciate the most.
Like it. Congrats @danielgage
And it has the rare Lyman #2 Tank sight on it so you can shoot it out of your Sherman.
maybe just a tang peep sight
Congrats. I would love to find one with an octagon barrel. I don't even know if they make a 30-30 Winchester with a octagon barrel, but they should.
once you get the gun and your walls don't like it, send it to me. I have enough room to squeeze that purdy lady in my safe, next to Marlin 30-30.
I did a search with
winchester with octagon barrel in lever-action rifles
and found several
Shiny gold color is gonna attract ‘whistle pigs’ up at the cow camp ,,,,,,,, 🤣
probably won't make it to cow camp
I just hope I can make it back someday
very nice!
Very nice !! Can we expect a range report in the near future !!
I reckon so
I have a Buffalo Bill Commemorative that I use to hunt hogs with. Works better than my other lever action rifles. Don

Commemorative lose value removed from the box, but if you love it, who cares? I always wanted to hunt with the Crazy Horse version. I settled for a Trapper in .45 Colt.
I'm curious to learn what the 38-70 is, a '95 Winchester? Who makes it? I passed on an original a long time ago and have regreted it ever since.
Mostly 1886s. There are exceptions.
Didn’t get to put it in the living room but put it up in the bedroom
that’s where the important decisions are made most of the time anyway
