So how many of you make changes to your factory Glocks? How many, like me, order the new parts when ordering the Glock. Or do you just keep it factory stock - and why?
Ever since my first Glock 17 I have always changed the trigger out for a quality aftermarket like a Pyramid, Zev or most recently Timney before firing the pistol for the first time.
Depending on the need - I'll make other changes.

Bone stock is good enough for me.
Glocks are like Legos! So fun. But the heard mentality is strong around here, and some of these guys decided in 1982 Glocks were bad & they literally have been unable to form an objective opinion since.
Here’s my Gen 5 34 with Trijicon SRO that took me all the way to USPSA Nationals.

@Warbirds is correct, they are like legos......very expensive!
To each their own. Ive never owned one, just cause.....no real reason.
That being said, I do have several 10-22s that are also upgradable like legos BUT mine are all stock, except a scope is added!
I have a standing offer on this forum to shoot ANY USPSA or IDPA match straight up for guns.
If you can beat me, you can have my Glock.
So far this group is as they say in Texas, all hat; no cattle.
I bought my first Glock in 1995 and have purchased several since then. For the most part they are stock guns, but I have added different sights and red dots to some of them. I used to shoot a few local matches with them when I was younger but only do that occasionally now.
I like them, but still prefer a decent 1911. Glocks are a tool that can be used right out the box or tweeked in a 100 different ways. To each their own.
That's just about when I bought my first Glock 17. Ended up giving it to a friend because I couldn't shoot a decent group with it. Same problem for him so he asked me to replace the trigger for him. Wow, sorry I sold it. Liked it so much with the new trigger that I bought a couple more, replacing the trigger sets on each of them. Now I have a bunch, in different lengths, calibers and builds.
One that surprises me the most is my Glock 21, in 45ACP. With the exception of a Pyramid trigger and adj Night sights, it is a factory pistol - it groups as nice as many of my Colt, Springfield and Kimber1911s at 21 yds.

I do remember the first time I actually ran across a glock dealer at a local GS
I remember it well
he was trying to convince the people to buy one he even pulled the slide off his and then beat the crap out of the frame rails on the corner of the table and said any of you steel frame gun owners willing to let me do that with your gun .. no answer of course 😉
even years later I liked the look of a polished blue or SS pistol over a glock no frills look
my youngest son has a couple ( as far as I know he still has them ) a model 19 and one he doid th epaper work on to make a SBR out of it
close as came I did give in some time back bought a springfield xdm my son had bought one and I liked it
' than came the xds 45 and last a xds 9mm still no glock 🤨 but three polymer pistols is more than I thought I would ever own
I carry the xds models as my cc pistols and have crimson trace laser grips on both .
the first xdm 45 I bought was confined to house duty along with its older steel buddies 😁
I trade out the mag button and the slide release for the extended versions, but I always use OEM Glock parts to do it. My 35 wears a set of Dawson Precision fiber optics and the 23 wears Trijicon night sights, but it came from the factory like that. The 24 is completely stock and will likely remain that way.

...I don't do BLOCKS...I stick with the original, John Brownings Colt 1911...have 7 or 8 in the safes...sorry, I just don't do ugly...
It's in my will, I'm to be buried with my Colt 1911.
I fell in love with the Springfield .40. I turned a raccoon inside out with one of my HP reloads. Then later I bought a Springfield .45, which is my winter carry gun.

I probably have about the same or a few more 1911's. But that's kinda like saying I already have a car, I don't need a truck. Glock is a tool and is often the best tool for a particular job - As is a 1911. If you purchase your firearms based upon "pretty" then you are missing out on some great shooters.

Picked up a Glock 43X added night sights and a Shield Arms mag release + 4 Shield Arms 15rd mags.
I hate to say it but it has without a doubt replaced my Glock 19 and Glock 26 for CCW. I shoot it just as well.
I might trade it for one that is RMR cut. I haven't made the switch to pistol red dots yet, though.

I found their prices very competitive and the quality of their work was awesome. Be sure to consider if you want the cut to eliminate your rear sight or forward of it so you can co-witness. If you do dump the rear sights then grab a front sight plug https://www.agencyarms.com/front-sight-plug-5 from Agency arms. Makes for a clean slide. You can kinda see it in the G17 with the red magwell above.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. While I'm all for red dots on rifles I still haven't made the switch to pistol red dots. I have Glock 19 set up with a Vortex Viper and don't care for it. I feel like I'm chasing the dot or the sun washes out the screen.
A shop in Springfield will give me the Blue Label Glock discount on a 43X MOS with a copy of my DD214. If they have one with night sights already installed, I might trade mine.

I'll admit that Glock is usually the last brand on my mind when it comes to handguns, regardless of how good they are, or how well someone can run a course with one. Having said that, I'll also admit that I could see myself with a 40 MOS. Why? I always thought longslides looked kinda cool. Now, if one could find a comped .460 Rowland barrel for it, all the better. That would probably be the one specific Glock I wouldn't pass up. I'll go apologize to my 1911 now....🤣

In the 80's it was "9mm or .45, which is best?". All instigated by the industry to sell more of their product. Mostly I just sit back and shake my head,
I'm not crazy about stippling in general, but I thought what was done on this gun was at least done well and not completely unpleasant to look at.

I only have one Glock. A Gen 3 G32. It’s bone stock. I do want to add some XS Big Dot sights. That’s about it. Whenever I see someone on various forums or social media or YouTube complain about their Glock not working it’s usually because they monkied around with the internals. “Perfection” is great marketing by Glock but they’re hardly the most perfect handgun for me.
I like a Glock..but if you run out of ammo and have to pistol whip someone..be prepared to get your * beat...
I own a dozen and have changed every one as far as triggers, sights, etc. They are less ugly and for me shoot better that way. I can't say I like them but you have to own some before you have the "right" to comment.

Why yes I have, was just as ugly as the previous generations and didn't work any better just cost more....
My experience was a little different. I had a Gen 3 Glock 19 for almost 20 years. It was mainly my house gun but I shot it often. I purchased a Gen 5 and thought the trigger was better and the grip was much better without the finger grooves. Still not pretty like my 1911's, but a useful tool never the less.....
I handled several Glokes back in the 80's. All of the stocks were so large they were really uncomfortable for me to hold, much less shoot. I passed and never looked back. I do have some tupperwear guns, just not Glokes.
I don't have any Glocks, therefore I don't have to repair them. 😁
