I have been wanting a short barrel shotgun that I could leave out and not worry too much if I lost it. I was thinking a coach gun or an old pump shot gun. I found this old Winchester model 12 at Tulsa last fall. It had very little finish left and had a poly choke. Perfect. I had the barrel cut, crowned and a bead installed. I then gave it a rubdown with Oxpho creme blue. I think it came out pretty well. The gun functioned well and the wood was good.
Top model 12 is my old Army riot gun I got when I was 14.

Finest pump guns ever made.
Still too long for Bonnie and Clyde.
They are dead. Don
Yupp, the model 12 is what all of the other pump guns aspire to be. Some come close, but no cigar! Bob
I disagree. Yhe Ithaca 37 is the greatest. Drops the empties at your feet instead of slinging them into the brush.
I worked with a guy who loved those 37's Jim, but he was lefthanded..........
You did good!
I keep my A-5 with a 20 inch barrelled poly choke under the back seat of my F-150 with 100 rounds of assorted ammo.
First gun I ever bought was an Ithaca 37....Best pump gun ever for a lefthanded individual in my humble opinion...
Never owned a Model 12.....but they sure are pretty
