Still too early to plant veggies in North Texas, I get bit every time I think it's Ok, I'll wait a week more at least.
I envy you folks that live where there are long growing seasons. All my life for the most part have been where planting veggy crops are done after Memorial Day weekend. June 1st or so and I have still been burnt by frost after that date a few times! At least there are no worries for hurricanes, floods, earth quakes, nor southern illegal border crossers here! 😁
we are only about a month ahead of you Brooks, it is usually first to middle of may before we plant any garden vegetables, the flowers and trees are blooming way early this year........
I am 70 and when I was a little boy we had corn sprouting out of the ground at the end of March. Now we might get the last frost until the first week in May.
The little peach tree we planted last year is budding out. Much to early.
We can't plant a garden till after Memorial Day because it could get rained out... But We are in enjoying the daffodils and we planted a few tulips this year, there running late.
