Looks like Chicago will have a new Mayor !!!
Not sure it will make a difference, but the only direction available is up...

Hoping for the best.
My take
Sadly will be a bag of promises ask for more money to fix the problems blame the guns have a few photo opps proving they mean well
And then back to the same democratic crap hole it is
Only the names will be changed
Cess pool overflowing and no way to stop it
Well at least 50 more cops on the street alter being on the security detail for a freakazoid
Chicago's 2023 mayoral election... AKA, the Exorcism of Beetlejuice.
Sure hope the next one does better. I reckon they can't get much worse!
Nope, as long as the (D) machine runs Chicago and voters keep voting (D) things will only get more expensive and dangerous. More wealth will leave, more people seeking freedom will abandon the state until all that is left is the takers in our society.
The Biden Administration will give her a job.
I lived in Chicago for a year. Major Daly was the King of Chicago. Nobody would go against him, and what he wanted, he got. Chicago was a fairly safe city back then, as long as you stayed away from the south side.

Never lived in Chicago, but I always thought Mayor Daly may have connections with powerful people that didn't have to be concerned with being reelected.
The first one to start yelling racism 99.9% of the time is the raciest.
One individual will never change that big mess.
I lived near Chicago for over 35 years. I had to drive in there often for work related trips and training.. Never felt real comfortable there and avoided certain areas like a plague. We did day trips with the boys and got the heck out of there early in the evening...
It is sad as there are some great things to see and do there. But it was not safe and being forced to comply with laws that took away the ability to defend me and mine when I was there caused me to spend as little time there as possible.
I hope it gets better....someone over there must be able to see change is necessary.... We shall see...
Got friend that lives in Memphis. Told me last week it was almost total anarchy after dark in many areas of that city.
I remember when I was a kid one of my uncles 'Big Sam from Chicago' lived in Glenview. We went to visit one summer and stay with them. I bragged to all my friends that my uncle had a 40k three split level house, with crushed velvet wall paper even, and a huge swimming pool in back yard.
Uncle took us touring, Chicago, Lake shore drive, a museum, ect.
Sorry, got off topic.
I have great memories of Chicago when I was a kid in the 60's. We used to go to Wrigley Field a couple times a year to watch the Cubs or visit the Art Institute, Shed Aquarium etc. We would walk all over the place and never think a thing of it.............
It was quite safe in those days unlike now....
I used to live 3 blocks from Wrigley field. My favorite place to go there was the museum of science and industry. That's as far south as I dared to go. There used to be nuclear missile silos close to lake Michigan. Back then I used to go to the Prudential building to see most of Chicago. That was before Sears Tower was built.
Joe
There is no greater example of "machine" politics than Chicago. The graft and corruption pyramid does not collapse when the capstone is changed.
@Rocky Raab I agree, it’s like the swamp in Washington but on a smaller scale.
I just don't understand the big cities and the democrats running them. Just don't get it.
Yea a piece of dung, a big piece ! Disgusting privileged liar and all around dirt bag. That’s his best points.
Almost half of Illinois governors finish their terms by going to prison.

Unfortunately the close by city of Ashville, NC, once a highly rated vacation and tourist destination, is fast tracking to become a little Chicago. A quick glance at the all democratic city council explains why. Their police department is down 100 officers in less than 2 years with no hopes of replacements. A once beautiful city has become a haven for homelessness, druggies, & hoodlums.
You are correct, Clay. I live 20 miles from Asheville. Our city's crime wave made a 5 minute segment on Fox and Friends 2 days ago.
I just don't understand the democrats end game. What is all of this "stuff" accomplishing? All bad and illogical. Socialism? Don't we have enough voters on board to stop this scenario? Just don't get it.
It's called Control. Offer free * in exchange for their vote and eventually they become dependent on government in every aspect of their lives. It's easier to swindle them out of their dignity and self respect than to beat it out of them with a club.
