Had a dozen Turkey Vultures in my front yard yesterday morning
Wild Turkey

As I was headed for church they were congregating along the paved road in front of my house, drawn by the carcass of a juvenile Bobcat. Didn't know we had them in the area.
Could that be the reason I haven't seen as many turkeys in the last year? Still plenty of deer running around.

They are butt ugly and I have only seen them on dead carcases?
Ya don't suppose they're sendin' you a message, do ya WT?
The vultures will not scare or run the turkeys off, but the bobcat will kill and eat turkeys. Think of a bobcat as a feral cat on steroids.
In Illinois bobcats are protected and you need a special license to hunt them. Bobcats kill rabbits, squirrels, puppies and other small game. I put bobcats in the same category as coyotes.
Bobcats were in Illinois before it was Illinois. That suggests humans are the varmints.
Just keep moving so they will know that you're not dead.😉
😲
Black buzzards and turkey buzzards are showing up here to take care of all the winter kill
They used to wheel around in the sky while I cut the lawn
I have even seen black flamingoes around here....
Uh, what were you drinking?
they use the black ones for either your 50th or 60th birthday decorations in the yard......
I'll be right over Austin!😋
Well no, but the bobcats will!
