To set the stage, I have 3 boys, 12, 11 & 8.
The 12 year old needed an alarm clock and we decided to get him an Alexa dot that displays the time. It can play music, set reminders and timers, and a few other basic things.
Now my 8 year old, decides it’s time for a prank.
He has been setting alarms for the middle of the night with instructions like:
Hey Alexa, set an alarm for 1:07 am and make it sound like a one minute long fart”.
Last nights prank was a 2:00AM alarm set to sound like “buildings crashing down”.
Brothers are merciless!

I respect you, warbirds, but I would not allow a self-installed bugging device in my home.
I have an Alexa in my shop.If it's a bugging device,the people listening in on me are going to be a bored bunch.

Rocky Raab nailed it. And my cell phone is turned off most of the time. It’s a whole different world out there anymore.
