The stink finally went away for the most part so I headed out to catch up on a few things...
Just got off the mower. I mowed and rolled the yard which is about 2.5 acres. That 320 pound roller certainly flattens out all the little runs and hills ! Now the fun comes along as I can see them when they start a hill. A 12 gauge usually takes care of it from there...Or Martha gets them before I do !!!
The armadillos and skunks have been digging around in the yard too..... I guess I will need to check around a little more often ! Fun living in the sticks !
Tomorrow the fun continues.......Dandelion retribution day !!!! Got the sprayer ready to roll !!!!
How is the yard work going for you all ?

We take are mole hunting serous around here. I’ll take him to the taxidermy tomorrow. Dropped him about 250 yards out.
We've still got about 50% snow cover on our yard. Gonna wait a liiittle bit more.
250 yds with a 410? Heck of a shot.
You do know you can make wine out of the dandy lions and even mix them with other spring greens for a tasty meal.
Oh and isn't the some sot of clothing made out of Moleskin?😁
Feel free to come on over and take all you want !!!! I got a yard full 🙃
I don't want nothing to do with them, I hit them with crossbow, once and done. Dandy lions that is.
My departed in laws used dandelions to make a salad its was not too bad
my FIL I'm sure made wine out of it at some point he made / used just about anything he could turn into alcohol .
As for the moles we get a few but not enough to be a problem luckily
.17 Oughta leave no grease spot.
Kill the dandelions you kill the bees , you need them for farming
My yard is surrounded by farm land. Lots of Dandelions all around us as well as other flowering plants all over the place. We have a large wild bee colony living in the opening of a tree in our front yard, it has been there for years. I put out water for them and they visit it daily, especially when it get warm.
I am careful with the spraying and use one that dries quickly and causes the least possible chance harming any bees.......or anything else for that matter....
