I present Raven, the wonder dog! Each morning for the past three days, she has gotten out of her kennel and come scampering into the bedroom. Can’t figure how she’s managing it. Not only does her metal kennel have a double (top and bottom) bolt-action style, locking mechanism, but I also have had a tertiary safeguard in place in the form of a caribiner clipping the cage door to the frame. How on earth does a dog open a carbiner?? Somehow, she is un-doing all of this and setting herself free!
Got the Go-Pro set up on her this time, with a pile of treats outside the cage to entice her. Should be interesting…..

Please share the video when you get it! LOL.
Maybe someone is letting her out?
Some dogs are crazy smart. She prob saw how you opened it and just followed your training. 😁
Looking forward to seeing the great escape!
Probably going out the unlatched side door.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
She has the cat trained
Probably more likely than an AI takeover. My kinda dog, a good lookin' pup too!
You can just look at some dogs and tell they are smart.
Stinkin cute!!
Can't wait to see/hear how she is getting out.
Seeing that cute thing looks like a stock dog of some kind nothing surprises me.

Update ???
Good looking doggie!
Have been recording her constantly. Behaves like a perfect Angel when the camera is on her. Went out yesterday for the afternoon. Got back. Camera battery was dead (no evidence recorded). Dog was out walking around the house like she owned the place, cage door open, caribeener across the room on the floor, and room door open. Yep, that’s right….. she not only got out of the cage, but also got out of the closed office door.
Luckily, she didn’t get into any apparent mischief…..this time.
The mystery continues.
Woo, you got a handful there. Funny but not type thing. Keep an eye on her, and lots of love.
I have a Rat Terrier and a Jack Russell shorty.I have been outsmarted many times.
I don't want to be a downer but over 40 years ago I had a dog that tried to get out of a crate much like you described and it managed to hang itself.
That was bad.
Way worse was that dog was my then 8 year old daughter's dog. Lots of crying for a while as she really loved that dog.
Make sure your dog can't cram its head through the top at the side of the crate. Once it gets its head through it can't get it back out.
