Yep, and when Biden & the DOJ consider banning TiKTok and saying its bad, I too have second thoughts. Keep in mind, these are the same people who want to ban Trump, Fox news, Newsmax, and Breitbart.
The first time I heard of Tik Tok, several years ago, it was in a news story that had to do with a child pornography investigation. Seemed like a good reason to avoid Tik Tok, so I have never used it.
The only difference I can see between Tic Toc and Google is that one or maybe both are owned by the Chinese? As I understand it TicToc just gathers and keeps information on everything. So does Google!!! The Chinese or Russians or Iranians can surely hack Google any time they want. Or just claim to have a product to sell. Just sayin'.

I'm a bit torn on the whole banning thing. I like the idea that our governor stood up to the Chinese, but I'm not crazy about outright bans on products, dangerous though they might be.
Something very strange going on with this topic. It says it has been closed and I see no closing on the last post. Also, after hitting on it several times it still shows up as a NEW topic. Anybody else seeing this??

Did you read the first post? The State of Montana has banned TicTok. The thread title Banned does not mean a forum member has been banned and/or the thread closed. The thread title refers to TicTok.
@Brookwood when a post is moved and the original link is left in place to redirect to the other forum, it will show "new" that is normal behavior. Don't feel bad though, it was kinda confusing to me when I first saw it also seeing both "Moved and Banned" it took a second to realize "banned" was the thread title not an action taken...
