Just got home from the dentist after almost 2.5 hours in the chair.... Never had a cavity in my life so I found out how much fun a visit to the dentist can be !
Hope you all are having a more fun day

Upper or lower?
Lower back molar
I feel your pain, 81. I have a high tolerance for the deadening juice, and usually have to get the gas on top of the shots. To make it worse, some of my nerves run in unusual places (think a shot in the jaw that deadens the side of my face up behind the eye). When I get in the chair, my dentist loves to call to his assistant "Get out the rubber mallet."
I have had several root canal done and in every case the tooth got brittle and broke in a few years.
Great.....😕
Now.....here is the REAL question.......when you get the crown done are you getting a GOLD tooth???
I swore up and down if I get another root canal done I'm going "all in" on something fancy. 😂
I've only had one root canal....I do NOT recommend it...at all.
Yep....a big old gold crown !!!
Awesome.....we can be twins when I get mine.
Wife got her teeth pulled a couple weeks ago. All of them. She was a hurting girl, and still in the healing process.
A root canal is akin to having a bone set without a sedative.
Every person deals with it differently, but my experience has been that some SOB is making lots of money from inflicting enormous amounts of pain with no absolute degree of success.
Good luck in the healing process and retention of that tooth!
I have had three done so I feel your pain. All were done almost 30 years ago and only one has let go.
Ended up getting an implant, that makes the cost of a root canal look cheap.
I've had IMMIC about 3 of those done in the past. The dentist that did the first two took several days worth of appointments to do a single root canal. Both lasted at least 35 years until the teeth became infected and abscessed. I stupidly put off taking care of the problems for a few months living with pain but thinking things would heal up on their own. The infection nearly killed me!! STUPID, STUPID, me!
The 3rd one was done on an upper molar just a few years ago by a dentist that did it all in about an hours time. That tooth only lasted about 6 months before it broke in half while eating some peanuts. Had it pulled by another dentist that showed me the guy that did the canal work left a broken drill bit in one of the roots!! Grrrrr!! Nearly 4 grand wasted over trying to save one tooth! Have I ever mentioned that I'm not real fond of dentists?
Sorry for the negativity Frank. I really hope you get to enjoy many more years of chewing pleasure with that tooth!
My wife and I both have a gold crown on one of our molars. I thought about getting a gold "Grill", but my wife said no way. 😁

One of my grandkid's asked me if he could have the gold from my teeth when I die😲
