I didn't see him, but I sure heard him.

Just before daybreak, I heard a Tom Turkey calling for a hen as he walked through the backyard to the east woods. I hope he found what he was looking for. 😁

Spotted a tom displaying just down the street yesterday, didn't see any hens.
We've had quite a few Tom's and Jake's around all spring. The guys are back to flocking together now. We had 6 Jake's in the yard last Monday being shepherded around by 2 big Tom's. A hen came in the yard and those 2 big Tom's dang near wore themselves out with all of the strutting and displaying but the hen just ignored them. I think she is already sitting on a nest full of eggs because we only see her once a day at just about the same time. She pecks around and then gets a drink and disappears in the same direction every day. Last year we had three hens with about 18 chicks running around all summer. I wonder what this year will bring?
For those of you that haven't had an, unseen up to that moment, turkey explode out of hedge row 3 ft from you, you've missed a lot of excitement!😁 Bob
Is this the guy?
Don't we all Bubba Jr.
Seems to be less Turkeys around here this year.. The yotes are really plentiful this year.
We went the opposite way. Not many 'yotes, but the turkeys and ground squirrels are about to overrun us!
I don't know, it was dark out.
