Asking members for their help in any of the sub forums

@montanajoe has asked his staff to help update the announcements (also known as "stickies") in the sub forums as a lot of the information in them is most likely not up to date and/or relevant today.
So if anyone would like to help get any of this information updated, I can help them get the correct info in place. Please just let me know if you are interested. You can respond here or via PM.
If any other of the staff would also like to help you can tag along with this message or create your own for folks to reply to.

Thank you

I think there are somewhat too many on the GD forum, but I would just unpin most and not update them.
Sure hasn't been a show of interest to keep them.
I agree on most.
Which ones, @He Dog & @bambihunter ?? , and NOT the posting guidelines (lol)
What do you need help with?

I would drop the memorial to Mark into the fallen members, that has a lot of views, we like to remember old friends. Also the Newbs sign in here, and perhaps the serial numbers thread. Serials are readily available for most things in several formats, on line, in print. Blue Book and Standard Catalogs for two, also the specialized books on Lugers, P-38 etc.
Each forum has/had stickies posted for quite some time. They contained very helpful, useful information. Over time a lot of this information became inaccurate as web links are no longer available, laws have changed, ect.
Many of the stickies have become idle with no new views, and no interest shown.
Most have/will be removed as a stickie and will fall into archive of the forum it was posted in. They will not be deleted. They will remain available for viewing or brought back to top of discussion through the search function.
If I can help let me know.
