WWI Half Moon Clips

When soldiers were issued the model 1917 revolvers, how did they carry the loaded clips? I've never seen any special pouches designed for that. Also, those revolvers must have seen limited use in WWII.

Wonder who said, "hey, if we welded two of these clips together---------------------
Thanks for the pic, Ricci.
Now if I see one I will have to buy it - Thanks. And yes, the Colt and S^W revolvers were issued in WW II. Seems like I see them more n the Pacific Theater rather than in Europe documentaries.
The reason they were three-round clips rather than six rounds was for packaging. A six round clip took up much more space in a box.
Early days of the combat matches that led up to IPSC, this was done. I understand it was usual to just spot weld at one end and leave a bit of wiggle.
Love my Brazilian contract. With full moons.
