Do any of you have any preferences in a super bright flashlight to be used to blind intruders??

If you Google flashlights, bright flashlights, tactical flashlights, etc. the number of lights that comes up is scary.
I would guess some of you LEOs know what works for your departments. So what is a good brand?
I'm helping a 60 year old city boy learn to shoot as he is concerned about the current state of affairs in this country. He is a northern transplant and to say guns are not natural to him is an understatement. So I got to thinking a light so bright it would blind an intruder would help give him an edge.
I have got him to where he can hit a man sized target at 20 feet but it has been an uphill battle. He is a real nice man but he REALLY needs an edge!
Any help would be appreciated!

Streamlight TLR1 HL
1000 lumens and a strobe function. Blinding and disorienting.
The TLR2 HL is the same unit but with the addition of a red or green laser.
Are you looking for a hand held flashlight or a weapon light to attach to a firearm. With all due respect a super bright light is fine outside but will blind the owner inside a room. Like everything else there are always compromises.
Streamlight if your life depends on it.
A while back.....a good friend put me onto Fenix flashlights.
Very powerful.........and reasonably compact.
I bought the PD35 v3.0.......and when I first turned it on, I thought it might fry an egg at 50 yards.
.........ok......maybe 20 yards. 😎😇
Ricci, hand held. Alfred has enough problems without adding weight to the handgun or the complications of turning on the light.
Alfred is making progress under my supervision but he was over 60 the first time he ever fired any kind of gun. When guys like us were burning up bricks of 22 LR ammo at age 12 he was not. It makes a BIG difference!!
Stick with surefire , stream light and brands actually used by mil/Leo
Get one of those one million candle power Q beams, I'll guarantee it will blind an intruder.
.357
I've had several over the years, and the least reliable ones contained the goofy size batteries.
The ones I currently own are self contained rechargeables, and they are bulletproof on reliability. The two at the house are Bushnell and I can't remember the brand of the one at work.
An accidental glimpse of either brand will leave you with white spots for several minutes.
The new Maglight led I have the one that used the CR 123 battery it has been thru hell at work and still working great not the brightest but it doesn't tapper off in one minute like a lot of the rest
If you just need light for a moment, that would work.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Shine a light in my eyes, I will shoot the light. That will work too. I have some bright Streamlights and Surefire, but I have real trouble thinking of them as "weaponized."
