Erie trip yesterday

Perfect weather for a day on the lake and we got our 3 man limit of wallies in just a few hours.
My ex BIL Scott came with us and had a awesome time. Walleye were our target fish, but he had never caught a drum, and the one in the last picture below gave him a heck of a fight. Even though they are junk fish, they are crazy hard fighting fish to land.
Put a few oddballs in the cooler for my parents too, some silver bass and a few yellow perch.

Great day all around thanks for sharing you fun day with us
Many yrs ago I was invited to go with a coworker who had a nice boat and went often with his brother To lake Erie
1st day out I got sea sick
I heaved up every thing I had ate for the last month it felt like
I was hanging over the side or in the bottom of the boat trying to ride it out and not spoil the day for the other fellows
Of course my buddies had to help me out told me to stop chumming the water I would have all the carp and sheep head hanging around lol
a storm moved in and we had to head back in
the only time i remember giving thanks for storm moving in
2nd day I was good to go and caught a few but none big enought to keep
Walleye are some good eating.
I've had a boat full of green faces before, so I know what you mean. Came in two years ago fighting six foot waves and I was the only one that didn't get sick.
Saturday the water was perfect, with 12-18 inch rollers. Can't wait to get back out in two weeks after the holiday mess is over.
