They are mowing down the house across the street... No more bad neighbors, no more drugs, no more nut job kids, no more vicious dogs!

looks like they brought a big enough tool for the job
sorry your losing your neighbors 😁
just word of warning, not sure if it has been empty, or if so how long, but we had a neighbor once who tore down a single stall garage full of junk, as the first wall went down, must have been 30-40 rats came running out like a disturbed anthill !!!, Hope your experience is different, and less eventfull you may want to be prepared with a hoe just in case......
How do people live so close together?
I don't know.... That's why we want to sell. Our neighborhood used to be quiet.... We have a small ranch.

The machine size was my first thought also...
Curious, why are they tearing it down?
The why seems to have been explained. I'm curious as to the "who".
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I'm pretty sure they want the lot. The people who own it live behind us. The house and mother in law unit has been a blight on the neighborhood along time.... Our last neighbors asked my dad as a contractor if they should buy it... Dad said run! And start over somewhere else.

Yep, that's getting the job done alright.
It's astounding how fast they can clear a lot that way. We had a building here that was announced to be demolished. I drove past it and it looked the same as it had for years. Drove past again just two days later and it was an empty and level dirt lot.
Why handle it twice he could be loading a truck.
Well the main house is leveled.... And there's a huge truck over there and the excavator is loading it now...
Wow 😳

Out of curiosity, what would guess the lot size at, and how much would it sell for?
I was gonna tell them that thing was not gonna fit in that little shed. Too bad he tried to park it there anyway, looks like he might have scuffed the paint a little.

The lot was a 1/4 of an acre.... I saw they bought it for 250K. They decided to save the MIL unit....

I’ve always like being around big equipment, locomotive engines to tractors, but never ran a bulldozer or a track toe. I think it would have to be a riot tearing down a house with a track hoe. Thanks for sharing pictures.
I have more to post later and more pictures to get

Dang. About what I'd guessed.
Gave 220k for our place 9 yrs ago. 5 bed, 3 bath, attached garage, finished basement, 1/4 acre .
Around here you can call the local fire department to burn to them to the ground for free, they love them for training sessions. 2 yrs ago I had them burn 3 old share-cropper houses down on my farm, I got tired of paying taxes on them since they'd never be used again. The cleanup expense was on me though but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, a hole and backhoe works wonders 😊. Also we saw "0" snakes when we thought there'd be dozens coming out.

Having the thumb is the best option they've come up with and a must have. Makes it so easy to grab & pick things up.
The man who owns the place is on the Fire Department.... It was too much of a liability to burn...

Here you is ,,,,,,,,y
We had an excavator just like that one here Monday. Five hours later, all the fire damaged trees and others that were just in the wrong spot were smashed into 5 huge brush piles. Far easier and more efficient than using a bulldozer to remove trees.
Some of the stumps(not whole trees-just the 3' high stumps) he pulled were too heavy for the machine to lift(spec sheet says it can lift 12,000 #). Some of the concrete chunks were so heavy that 3 of them made a dump truck load.
