It has been HOT and dry around here, I got all my work caught up and decided I needed a vacation day from my retirement π. Hit the indoor range nearby and put a box of 9mm through my EDC. Followed that with .38spc. and .357 Mag through a few revolvers. It started getting a little warm so I called it a day after 150 rounds or so...
Rolled though a couple gun shops and Bass Pro trying to decide on a new project.. Headed home and took a nap.. It was a good day.
Had the chance to shoot lately ??

Lever guns, man! The Winchester 30-30 and the Henry 357.

The breeze! Recovering from surgery to repair a torn right bicep. Got some shiny new screws to show up on the security machines.
I miss my Henry Big Boy !!!! I still shoot it from time to time, but it lives at my buddy's house now.
I tried my hand at shooting a rat last night with my Heritage Rough Rider and missed.

Next time !!
I get a total shoulder replacement next month . Got my 1911 and a star bm out and shot last weekend . Terrible groups ,not enough strength to hold them up and steady on target . Heck even the groups with the 22 Buckmark were pitiful.
That is in my future also......I hope it all goes well for you !
William81 , I hope so too .
Today it was the 410. Had some rain the other day and the moles are moving back into the yard.
Payback time on the moles !!! That is the only way I have found to keep them in check !
Diana .177 with a night vision scope for mice down at the hen house.
I won't miss with the new rifle π

A Ruger Wrangler and some 1911's. Not a misfire, jam or malfunction of any type either.
Too hot and too worn out.
Only thing I've shot off lately is my mouth! π
Maybe try with the other hand?
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

My usual shooting spot has been ocupado for what seems like a month now, and I suspect whoever is there is up to no good. The camper half hidden by tarps arrangement looks a little methy. Went to my other spot, and gave my shoulder a beating with my SDS Lynx 12 gauge. The LOP is way too short. Also put around 25 rounds of various loads through my .35 Whelen. I am amazed at how little that Shilen barrel fouls.
Shot some older reloads in 30-40 and 35 whelen and about 30 rounds from my s&w kit gun. Now I have to mow the yard to pay for my fun.
I put about 100 rounds of .40 through my G35 on Saturday at a Defensive Pistol match.
25-35's; I have 3: a re-barreled Martini Cadet, an 1899 Savage Imp re-bored (since the 22HP was shot out), and an 1894 Deluxe with the set trigger and tang sight. At least one (maybe all) of them will be going blacktail hunting this Fall, if the Brno O/U 7x57R/12ga doesn't score first; the Brno is so heavy that it doesn't get far off the logging roads before it wears me out (I'm 78). I'm seeing more shootable elk and black bear than deer the past few seasons but I pass them up; don't think many grouse survived the Spring weather so the combo won't be as handy. Might get east of the mountains for dove season if my old high school scattergunning partner stays healthy; that'll be with my sporting clays gun, a 20ga Rem 11 humpback. Right now I'm enjoying life in the only part of the country that's having decent weather, the Pacific Northwest.
