My 12 year old grandson, Max, hit a grand slam home run in a tournament game earlier this week at Cooperstown Hall of Fame Invitational Tournament. They went on to win 9 to 6.
They had a heartbreaker the next evening. A team from California was 22 and 0 on the season and Max's team, The Base Knox Royals from Knoxville Tennessee, had them down 6 to 0 in the fourth inning and the California team came back to win.
Oh well just getting there and winning a game against one of the top 68 teams from across the nation was a pretty good experience for the boys.
Max had a grand slam homer earlier in the regular season also.

That's a memory that'll never go away!
I think his dad and Grandpa are grinning more than he is. 😁
He's just a good kid that we're all proud of whether he played sports or not.
Yes sir, understand completely, I'm a grandpa too
Congrats Smitty, glad to see that there are some good things still in your life.

Congrats to your grandson.A grand slam in that age group is a very big deal.
