I wanted to apologize for some of the things I might have said, and some cursing here on the forums. Joe was kind enough to give me a warning and remind me that I was headed down the wrong path. I thank him for that. Joe is an outstanding Member and also a great Forum administrator, as is the other administrators. Sometimes you just forget that you are speaking to a large audience, and whom you are speaking to. I will refrain from my stupidity from now on. I will also choose my words and phrases more carefully. I didn't have to post this, but after the warning, I felt that maybe I should not just apologize to the administrators, But to the people that I also talk to daily. I hope nobody feels any less of me. Again, Thank you Joe for bringing this to my attention and I humbly apologize once more. Oakie

In any large group of folks, someone will always be offended by something. I agree our moderators are doing a bang up good job at keeping the forum on an even keel and don't envy their jobs. Whatever you said to get their attention slipped by me but it isn't my job to check for these things, thank goodness. So apology accepted even though I'm not sure what it was for. Bob

Mark once saved me from myself in similar fashion. We’re fortunate to have understanding moderators…and smart enough to listen up when we get warned about our transgressions.
No major harm, no foul... but for everyone, we are watching and even if something you post is funny to the staff, we still have to follow the guideline set, after about 18 months, thus far I still haven't banned anyone, came close several times and Joe beat me to it a time or two. but yes, please all remember we are here and I can't speak for other staff, but I do read each and every post. Sometimes not within 24 hours, but that is rare, I will try to always give a informal warning first and or run by the Admins, that's just me but the staff is here for a reason.

I’ll tell you this for free: the GB Forum is the only forum I know of that isn’t a free for all where trolls and nimrods rule the roost. I appreciate the effort from the mods and from other members to keep it so. The space we have for the free exchange of the day’s laughs and tears is unprecedented and something I am happy to be part of.
I know all the frequent contributors feel the same way.

I really have to either pay attention more or I am oblivious to what what you may have said.
After having been in the Service there is not a swear word I have not heard and no one could insult me any worse than the DI’ s did in boot camp.

I’ll break from the heard and offer another perspective. I don’t see the issue with adult language on a website that has a pop-up asking me to verify I’m 18 years old every time I go shopping. It seems we must tip toe around on the forums in the event someones grandkid is surfing GB but perhaps those adults should consider this is in-fact and adult website & the periodic adult language isn’t really all that harmful to the intended audience of the website.
While Warbird's thoughts do have some merit, the fact is that this is GB's site and they make the rules. I like the idea of warnings for all but the most grievous transgressions. Now I hope I don't get a time-out. 😉
